Chapter 14

1001 Words
Is he really an i***t? Damien was lost in deep thought as he assembled the pistol in front of him. He feels so empty and anger fills his heart right now that he can't control his body. Clack! Ah... I don't care... He had made up his mind. He brought an army army and wore a full black suit with different weapons in his hand. In front of them is the majestic mansion of Dominguez. It was big. "Who's there?" asked the guards at the front gate. It was dark, and the only source of light except those lamps was the full moon. "Answer now or we'll shoot you---" "Bang! Bang! Bang!" Damien lost his patience and shot the guards. That alerted the other guards and people in the castle, but even before they could call a back up, the gate was already bombed and destroyed by several grenades. It was the sign... and Sebastian had expected him to attack sooner or later. "He is so sharp," he sighed and smiled, he didn't know that his chance would happen this fast. "Go to your training," On the other hand, Adelaide heard of the plan and knew it was time for her to sneak out. She might be important to Damien, but she could just end up as collateral damage. She cannot afford to die like that. Jacques! So she ran away. Damien had successfully entered the main door as the castle was his. But that is a trap. Although he is aware of that, the reason he did so was to intimidate his enemy and tell him that he came here not because of one thing, and that he could take away whatever he had. To show power, to show that he had the upper hand. "Ezekiel!" he called his name, and his voice had echoed in the room. Slowly, the light lit up in the room and showed his face. There is a large portrait in the middle of the two grand staircases. Also, a chandelier that slowly... DANG! The glass had shattered as it fell on the ground. "Surprise!" Ezekiel clapped his hands and smiled upon seeing those men who were unfortunate enough to dodge such an attack. "Welcome to Dominguez Castle!" "Fucker!" Damien said and had fired a series of gun shots at him and his men. Those mafias born and trained to fight are defending and attacking at the same time. That turned such a clean main hall of the castle because of the gun fired. Ezekiel remained calm and continued looking down on him. "You are so impatient," he said and pointed out the special bullet-proof mirror he had prepared, "Are you that obsessed with your fiancee?" he asked him, and the already dark aura surrounding Damien had changed. It turned into a monstrous one. He then took the gun that could pierce into things like that from one of his men. "I will kill you," he said determinedly, and was about to shoot him when he spoke. "Why, aren't you worried about your dearest fiancee?" he asked and showed a woman with a mask, tied to a chair. Her face is not showing. He stopped and Ezekiel was relieved and at the same time seething with anger. That meant he truly had feelings for Adelaide. "Let my fiancee go," he said calmly, like those before the storm. He did not know what to feel at that moment. "Nah-uh," he decided to tease him a little, "Why would I do that? After all the trouble that I need to go just to get this moment?" he asked him when the truth is he just wanted to be with her side. That being with Adelaide healed his heart and last night... "Are you done eating?" he asked and noticed that her face was red. Probably because of drinking too much wine. "That's enough, Adelaide..." "No! Who the hell are you to tell me to stop?!" she asked and started sobbing, "Only Sebastian could... you dare to impersonate him!" "I think you're drunk..." "No, get the hell away from me!" and tried to push him. Ezekiel, the body which Sebastian had possessed put a face palm. This was not what he had expected, and he certainly didn't want her to get drunk. "Adelaide..." he called sweetly like how he used to call her in his body. Her body had stiffened because of that. Even though it was three years since their last interaction... she couldn't help but freeze when she had encountered a very similar thing. "Say it again," and grabbed both sides of his face. "W-what?" "Call me Adelaide again," she said, and Ezekiel had immediately blushed because their faces were too close to each other. They are still in the dining place. "Adelaide..." after that, her drunken state thought that she was just dreaming and kissed his lips. He couldn't push her because he had been waiting for her to be this close. But he didn't want it like this. He smiled bitterly knowing that Adelaide was still in grief after all these years, but a part of him was happy to hear that she was still madly in love with him. How life could have been if they had stayed together.... if he was still alive. If only it weren't for Damien. He took her to her temporary room taken that. He wanted to take it slow, or else she'd hate him. "What do you want?" Damien asked impatiently, if he could, or if he was patient enough, he could have crushed him slowly. But when it comes to Adelaide, he becomes crazy and loses control of himself. "Give me the Pink Diamond," he smiled and gave it, but he had no intention of giving up Adelaide. He knew that he would never give up. "Alright," he said without hesitating, and shook him. When suddenly, Adelaide showed up from the side that ruined his plans. "Damien!" she called, and all the attention turned to her.
