We returned home and stopped by my mom’s apartment. Kendra was sitting in my mom’s chair giving me a look.  “Are you alright?” she asked me worriedly. “Yeah I am fine,” I told her with a fake smile.  “You should have told me something was wrong,” Kendra scolded me. My mom stood up and went to the kitchen, and I was sure she was going to make something to drink for every single one of us, as usual. My mom was always that kind of person. It wasn’t possible to sit in her home without at least a cup or glass in your hand and some small pastries to eat.  “I just needed some fresh air, that’s all,” I tried to calm her down.
