In the pool

"are none of you going to swim with me?" I ask. It is still early, but the weather here is so nice and they have a kind of oasis pool in the garden. Last night, during dinner, there was a breakthrough on the borders and rogues had been seen. So I was locked up here with Juliana and Amber, while all the men, yes you heard correctly, all the men went hunting for rogues. They came back smiling and everything was solved again. They came back so late that I couldn't speak to them anymore, but Eric told me that everyone had something to do and that they had fun with each other. He liked it too.

Amber and Juliana moan and grumble.

"Okay, then I'll go alone." I say and open the door. It's quiet in the hallway and in the packhouse. The doors of Jake and Kenneth's rooms are open and of the twins. No one is lying in their bed. Strange.

With my slippers and bathrobe on, I walk downstairs, a large towel with me. Through the back door I walk to the pool and I look for a place in the sun to put down my bathrobe, towel and slippers.

I doubt if I'll jump into it all at once, or if I'll gently go in. I don't know how cold the water is. Gently I feel with my foot in the water. Oh, this is delicious. Slowly, I let myself slide into the water and swim a few laps, or actually rounds around the island. I look around. No one can be seen and I close my eyes and imagine myself being in the sea, with a current and waves. I feel the water around me pushing against me and when I open my eyes I see the current in the water and some waves. I have to swim harder to stay in the same place. My work out for today.

I feel like I'm being watched, but when I stop and look around I don't see anything. I turn back and started with the most brown and golden eyes I've ever seen, somewhere recognizable, but not.

"Sorry, I didn't want to scare you." He says.

"You're not Justin and you're not Chris either." I say Justin's smell is different and I don't recognize Chris by smell, but I do recognize him by the look in his eyes. Serious and sometimes even angry or cold might be a better word.

"Max" Goddess f**k, he is the man with the biggest body. All four Alphas are divine, at least what you can see through their clothes, but Max is the biggest. He has also talked to the Twins about warrior lessons etc.

"Good morning Max." I say and my body floats to him and he gently grabs my arm so that I can't drift away from him. We are at the back of the oasis, no one can see us and I can feel the butterflies in my stomach coming back. The same ones I felt with Justin in the garden and all day yesterday when he was near me.

I feel his hands around my waist and my legs automatically go around his waist and my arms lean on his arms. Goddess. Those arms. I feel the warmth of his body flowing through my body.

We don't say anything to each other, but keep looking into each other's eyes. He keeps us in his place in the water. F**k I can't stop the water from flowing and waves now.

Omg. My eyes get big. And Max laughs. I feel my cheeks glowing. Just a little longer and he smells that I'm getting aroused by this idea. His hard d**k against me. F**k.

I let my legs slide off his body and he lets go of me and gently pushes me away from him.

"Do they know you're here?" he asks and I shake my head "their rooms were empty." I say and his eyes become blurry.

"Kenneth knows where you are now," he says.

"Why?" I ask and I feel my hand over his arm and his arm around my waist again.

"RACHEL!!! WHERE ARE YOU!!" I hear Kenneth shouting. "RACH!!” I hear Jake too.

"Because of them." He says with a wink, and he pulls me away from behind the island and I swear my wolf cries for the loss of heat from his body, again.

"F**K RACH! We were looking for you everywhere." I look into Jake’s furious eyes.

"Sorry Jake, I walked past your rooms, but your beds were empty." I tell him.

"You could have linked us," he says.

"Sorry I.."

"RACHEL!! F**KING HELL!!" My brother also comes to the pool stomping and he grabs my arm and pulls me hard out of the pool. Until he lets his eyes slide over my body.

"God damn it! GO in!" and he pushes me back into the water and I scream.

I feel his warmth around me again and his smell, his hard body. He pulls me against him so I don't get underwater.

"I don't understand what your problem is!" I get to Eric.

"My problem... f**k.. I.. stay here." And he runs in. My eyes are looking for Max's and I feel my body getting warmer. He still holds me.

"Sorry" he says and he slowly lets go of me. No, hold me. Huh. What is this?

I grab onto the side of the pool and feel his eyes burning on me. The current stops and so do the waves. That's Eric.

"you'd almost think you're more than his PA." Says Max, and I look at him.

"How protective he is about you." He shrugs.

My brother comes running out with his bathrobe and he pulls me, in one move out of the water again and wraps his bathrobe around me.

"My bathrobe is there.." I say and point to my own bathrobe. Eric growls and walks in as he links me "Go shower and get dressed. We'll talk later."

I have to look away when Max comes out of the water, because I'm afraid he sees that I'm going to drool.

Jake gently pushes me inside. "Sorry, we were all playing sports and the girls didn't know where you were. You had turned off your link." Jake says. He is calm, but stern.

“You should have linked us, Rachel.” Says Kenneth and walks behind us.

"Yes, because I wanted a break. I already have enough of myself and my own thoughts." I say and run up the stairs and disappear into the bathroom.
