-Rachel- "So you want to travel and live like the others?" My father roars through his office and my mother holds his shoulders. "You're not 'just' Rachel!" My father is angry. "But Dad!" "No. I don't want to hear a word about it anymore!" I look at my mother for help. She had already warned me about this and my brother Eric also said that Dad would never agree to this. "Sweetheart, give your father and me a minute." Says my mom, and I walk out of the office and wait in the hallway. "Hey! Waiting in the hallway?" My brother comes running in. "Yes, Dad wasn't happy and Mom asked for some time." I tell him. "He just linked me, if I wanted to come and take you inside." He says and grabs the office door and lets me walk into the office for him. "Ah. Well, you're both here." My father says and points to the sitting area in his office, where he sits down on the couch with my mother. "We have decided that we will agree, provided you agree to our terms and conditions." Says my father. "I have conditions myself." I say and my dad laughs. "You're not in a position to have conditions." He laughs "My terms are non-negotiable. No agreement, no trip." "Tell please." Says my brother. "Rachel gets to travel, you," he points to Eric, "are going with her, with four warriors, which I choose from, and the ladies-in-waiting go with her too." Eric grins "Why are the ladies-in-waiting going with us?" he asks. "Because my daughter isn't going to travel with just men." My mother says sternly to him and my brother nods and his grin disappears from his face. "Can I work on a trip?" I ask. "No" my mom and dad say at the same time. "And no parties." My dad says to Eric and now I'm the one grinning. "And you guys are coming home with the holidays and birthdays." Says my mother. Eric and I both nod. "And Rach, sweetheart, I already know which warriors are going with you two and I want you to listen to them. If they say something can't be done or you have to leave somewhere, you do that. They go along for your safety." Says my father and I feel that he is most worried about that. "I promise Dad." I tell him "I'll hold you to that." Says Eric and I stick my tongue out at him. He probably asks the twins, they always go with me when I'm outside the palace. Friends of Eric, since they were little. The twins are terribly attractive men, muscular, sexy and unreachable to me. They're not my mates and I've promised myself that I'll save all my first for my mate. That doesn't take away from the fact that I get to watch, right? Eric and I are sitting in his room. "Okay, Dad sends the twins along and Kenneth and Jake." Says Eric, and I sigh. "I will bring Juliana and Amber with me." I say. Amber and Juliana are both older than me and know the twins and Jake and Kenneth well too. I think Juliana and Kenneth dated for a while, but I'm not sure. There is a knock on the door. "Come in," Eric says. The door opens and the twins step inside. Eric embraces both warriors and Alpha. They've been friends for years. "Princess." Say the two men and nod and I nod back. "You're going to call me a princess all the time, don't you?" I ask the twins and they nod. "I don't want that. I asked for a trip, without people knowing who I am all the time. So you have to call me Rachel." I say. The twins look at each other and look at Eric. "Eric!" I look at him angrily. "Fine! Just call her Rachel." He says, and the twins nod. "We need to make a plan and inform the packs we are visiting of our visit." Anthony says, and sits down with his brother at the table where Eric and I are also sitting. "Who's going to come along?" asks Matthew. "You, Kenneth, Jake and Rach, Juliana and Amber go along." Says Eric "Okay, 8 people in total. Where are we going to stay? Do you want packhouses or do you want hotels or do we want to be surprised when we arrive?" asks Anthony. "Packhouse" I say when Eric says "Hotels" at the same time. "I want to be as ordinary as possible." I say and look at Eric. "You're going to take over from Dad, this is your chance to build a bond with the Alphas, that will only help you in the future." I try. "If we are in packhouses, the chance that people will blow your cover is only bigger. They'll see Juliana and Amber, two warriors who are constantly following you," Eric says. And he's right about that. "Let's start with Packhouses. Not every pack has hotels on its land or near packhouses, we can always go to a hotel when it gets too hot under our feet." Says Matthew. "Maybe you can do something about a disguise?" Matthew continues. The door behind us opens, without a knock. "Hey!! Partypeepz!" Calls Kenneth and steps in with Jake. Jake is always the quiet one, he always looks a bit angrier and is stiff. Top professional warrior and Alpha. "Hey!" Eric gets up and hugs both men. "Just say Rachel, the title is gone for this trip." He says to the men who are just coming in. "Rachel." Both men nod and I nod back. God, how is this going to be fun? Four warriors, four Alpha's, are constantly around me and they are Eric's friends, always going out together, always on the road together. All four are super attractive, hot even. That what I said about the twins, also applies to Jake and Kenneth. Their bodies.. as if they were carved out of stone. Disadvantage; all four are super professional if they have to be. So I don't stand a chance. I can overrule them, but my brother can overrule me and Dad has already told Eric that if I don't listen to them, that the trip is over and we should go home. My brother and the warriors are all in their late twenties (and a hundred) and also all still without a mate. Who knows, maybe we will all meet our mates on this trip and we will come home with double the number. Whoa.. that would be intense. Would my mate go back with me? Or would I stay with him? What would my parents think of that? "All the Betas in their position for the coming year?" Eric asks the men at the table. Both the twins and Kenneth and Jake are Alpha's, they have their own pack. Our castle is on the border of the packlands of the twins, Kenneth, Jake and Sam. But Sam is staying home. All four of them are strong warrior packs and attached to our royal family. They train our warriors and their own troops are unbeatable. Sam is the oldest one, the most strict. He likes the Medieval times. So, this trip.. not for him. "I think we should take Brent with us too." Kenneth says to Eric. "Why?" "If you take over from your father, Brent is your Alpha/Beta guy. If you want the lie to succeed that Rachel is not a princess, Anthony had a good proposal, that Rachel is your PA, but then they should be able to link her. You don't want that. So if you take Brent with you, then they can link Brent and he can plan everything, then he can say he'll pick up with the PA and arrange things for you. You know what I want and how I want it and if you need anything from me, you can link me." I tell him. "You can't work!" he says. "You don't have parties!" I say and look at him and see his smile. "One party and I call Dad." I say with my own grin. "We're working on it." He says, and I know I'm allowed to work. Sometimes it's too easy to get my way with Eric. "Jules! Amber! We need to talk!" I link my two girlfriends and ladies-in-waiting.
