Meeting the quads

"Oh god! There are four the same!" Juliana squeals next to me.

"Take it easy there!" Matthew looks at us in his inside mirror and we laugh.

"I already have my hands full with Rach, I don't want to have to go after you two." He says sternly.

"Come on Matt, you've had your pleasures on this road trip too." Amber winks and Matthew shakes his head and drives slightly forward as Jake puts the other car away.

" Let's link, that will save Matt stress". I link my girls.

"Those Alphas are handsome." Links Juliana

"That's for sure! Very handsome." I confirm.

Matthew opens the door in front of me and I get out of the car and walk around the car next to Eric.

"This is.. This is my PA, she also has two ladies with her, but they could share a suite, I understand?" asks my brother.

"uhm yes, welcome," He extends his hand to me and I grab the hand, my hand disappears into his big rough hand and it is immediately noticeable how warm his hand is. Completely werewolf, just like Dad and Eric, but still this heat feels different than the warmth of Dad. "Christian, but the preference is for Chris." He says.

"Nice to meet you Chris, I'm Rachel." I say and then "f**k"

"What are you doing?" my brother on the link "You haven't once said your own name!"

"I don't know either, it was out before I could think about it." I explain.

"Rachel, these are my brothers Maxwell, James and Justin." It looks like the Alpha’s don’t react to my real name.

"Just say Max." Max shakes my hand and then James and Justin followed.

"Rooms?" Eric glares at Chris and I feel that Eric is tense and then I feel Chris' nerves. Wtf happens here.

"Yes, of course, excuse me," he says, and he turns around.

Eric walks out in front of me with Jake and Kenneth and I follow between Anthony and Matthew, behind them are Juliana and Amber and Brent.

"wtf Rach?" Eric isn't done with it yet.

"what?"

" These men are not stupid and there are four of them. It's only a matter of days for they realize that you are my sister."

"I said, I don't know either, I had his hand and said my name without thinking."

"Goddess! There are four of them!” he yells.

" Calm down, you know I'm waiting for my mate." I say reassuringly, and I hope he feels that way. In silence, we continue the stairs to the top.

"On the second floor are our rooms and an extra office that you can use, Eric." Says Chris "The whole third floor is for you guys." He says and walks up the next flight of stairs.

"Fine, walking stairs all day." Amber says, annoyed by the mindlink to me and Juliana, and Juliana laughs in response.

"So that's all the suitcases. Behave girls!" Anthony says as he walks out of our suite and closes the door behind him.

"Anthony!" I call after him and the door opens again.

"You don't have to scream that loud, our room is next to the suite, so if there's anything we'll be quick and our door, like Jake and Kenneth's, will stay open also." He says and closes the door again.

"I have a suspicion that they are more wary here than in all the other packs." Laughs Amber

"Why do you think that?" I ask.

"Didn't you see how those Alphas looked at you?" Juliana went to lie down on the couch.

"No?"

"No, you couldn't see that either, because you were too busy undressing those Alphas with your eyes." Amber gives me a push and I feel my cheeks getting warmer.

"I don't know either. I don't get it." I tell them.

"Of what?"

"They are clearly not my mate, otherwise I should have felt that already, but my wolf reacted very strongly to them and especially to their touch and when I think of them I feel warm inside." I say honestly and grab my cheeks.

"That's weird indeed." Juliana says when she sits up straight again. "Wouldn't it work differently for you because you're a princess?"

"What do you mean?" I ask her.

"Well, that you can only find your mate later, or that discovering your mate is different than usual."

"Oh goddess! If so.. and theirs are it.. then you have four!!" Amber yells.

"Jeezzz four Alphas!!" Juliana rolls on the couch with laughter

"Oh Goddess! Stop it. That is impossible? Right?" I ask uncertainly.

"Identicals always have only one mate, because they come from the same egg. Just ask the twins." Says Juliana

"ANTHONY!!" Amber calls and the door flies open and not only Anthony is there, but also Matthew. They look around startled.

"What?" asks Matthew.

"Do you have only one mate?" asks Amber.

" We have no mate," Anthony says. "You know that." He sounds annoyed.

"Yes, now you don't have one, but if you run into your mate, is that one?" she clarifies.

"Yes." Say both at the same time.

"We're one egg, so also one mate. We'll have to learn to share. Why?" replies Matthew

"Oh, just curious," says Juliana and shrugs

The twins look at us one by one with eyes pinched together.

"You.. don't get anything in your head, before multiples find their mate. They're not that into sharing." Anthony winks at Amber.

"Yes, okay, enough, you guys out, Amber, to the bathroom. Bye!" I push the twins out of our suite and Amber towards the bathroom. All the way of the trip, those two dance around each other, but both of them don't take the first step, for both very good reasons. Anthony sticks to the principle that Amber lives too close for when he finds his mate and Amber doesn't want her mate to ever feel intimidated by Anthony. Which could very well be, because her mate should at least be Alpha and should be able to fight at least as well, otherwise Anthony is just really intimidating. But the s****l tension between the two is sometimes to cut with a knife.

"It's a beautiful garden, huh?" I startle and turn around. One of the quadruples is standing with me.

"Justin." He says "I didn't want to scare you. I wondered where you were going and I saw one of those big guys next to the outside door, so I thought I'd take a look." He says, and he comes to stand next to me on the porch.

At dinner, I sat next to Eric and Anthony sat next to me. Matthew followed me and is right around the corner inside now.

"The garden is beautiful. Who built this?" I ask.

"Our mother, Amelia."

"It's beautiful," I say.

"Tomorrow we're going to high school, ready for that?" Justin comes closer to me and I feel the warmth of his wolf.

"Is anyone ever ready for high school?" I laugh and Justin laughs too. A beautiful white smile, with beautiful teeth. "Do they know we're coming?" I ask and he nods.

"You'll have a lot of attention, their handsome Alpha coming to school." I laugh and he laughs too.

"Probably." He says and shrugs. "We've all been looking for our mate for a while, everyone knows we're still single." He says. My heart beats faster and my mouth gets dry.

"Walking around the garden?" he suggests and offers me his arm. I nod and grab his arm. The warmth of his body flows through my body, but no sparks, no fireworks, but jitters in my stomach. Wtf.

The weather here is lovely, much warmer than at home. Despite the fact that it is wonderful, I still feel a breath of fresh air and I regret that I did not bring my cardigan. Normally, I would conjure up a cardigan now, but I have already said my name. If I conjure up a cardigan out of nowhere, then the link is very easy to make. So I decided to link Matthew.

"Rachel!!" I hear him shouting and he comes running. "Here you go." He nods to Justin and walks back to the house. "Thanks." I call him after him.

"Are you cold?" he asks.

"Cold is a big word, but I feel a breath of fresh air."

"You're a wolf anyway, at least that's how you smell," he says. Wtf, did he smell me?

"That's right, I just have thinner fur." I'm lying. I have normal fur, just like him, only he has the ability to use it in his human form and I don't have that ability because I'm half fea.
