CHAPTER FOURTEEN Opening the door to the interview room at the Greenwich police station, Stella took stock of her suspect. Franco had his hands cuffed in front of him. He was wearing a leather jacket, chinos, and an expensive dress shirt. One of his well-manicured hands had a graze on the back of it. He had a minor abrasion on his cheek. He was dark haired and sallow skinned; a tall, rangy guy. His dark eyes looked shifty. Stella guessed he would use his intelligence and cunning to try and evade questioning. But he was at a disadvantage because he’d run. She needed to capitalize on this clear sign of guilt, and not let him wiggle out of his predicament.
