Abigail loved Shrek even more than I did. She gushed about it all the way back to our floor. I loved seeing her this carefree, and I was glad that I got to witness it. I was happy Jackson had the idea, even if it stung to think of how perfectly thoughtful he was.
Taped to Abigail's door was an envelope with a key inside. I took it out and unlocked my new room right across the hall. I promised Abigail I would mindlink her if I needed anything. I didn’t notice much about the room. It was a decent size, but everything still seemed big compared to my room at Silver Moon. I was sure it was a great room, but I didn’t care enough to note my surroundings.
The weight in my chest came back full force as soon as I stepped into this room and realized I was alone. I smelled Jackson’s scent here
