I had been back home for three weeks, and I was still trying to get back into the swing of things. Athena had been quiet, but at least now she was present. Before we had gone back to my old back she had remain dormant in the deepest depths of my mind. Now, every now and then she would throw what we now call ‘spice’ into my conversations. She was especially spicy when talking with patients. She for would take over and say some randomly push herself forward to spout off some off the wall advice. She convinced an older woman that shaving her head would help her to live longer. It wouldn’t have been so bad if the woman hadn’t come in a few days later to complete her blood work looking like a cancer patient.
