It’s been three weeks since Addy left the packs. I went to her parent’s house the day after she the phone call, but she had already left. Adam said she left in a rush because a pipe burst in her house. I knew she was lying, but I didn’t say anything. After Emily had come back from the store her normally welcome tone changed. She all but told me to leave and not to bother Addy. I guess Addy told her, her side of things.
I was just blowing off steam. It had been a crazy few days and it seemed like Addy wasn’t going to accept me as her mate. I went to the bar down the street to drink away my sorrows when a brunette saddle herself up to me, telling me her name was Maggie. I had tried to politely let her down, but it was useless.
