It was 3 days before I got to visit Serenity. Apparently, she wasn’t too thrilled about finding her mate. According to Adam, Alec was taking it like a champ. She had refused to leave the hospital, afraid Alec would make her live with him. Although he had offered to give her his house and stay with his parents until she felt comfortable enough to let him sleep on the couch.
I got out of my jeep, and as soon as I stepped out I heard the little firecracker yelling. I rushed in, leaving the flowers I had gotten her in the car. I threw the door open to her room to see her standing on the bed screaming like a banshee at a cowering Alec.
