Chapter Fourteen

Luca     Alice was pissed. Really really pissed. “Tell me again what she said” I tapped my fingers idly on the desktop, my eyes never leaving his face. “She said to tell you thanks” Stefanos face was blank, he knew better than to crack the smile that was tugging at his mouth. “Thanks for what?” My tone was icy. “A good night I’m guessing” Deadpan. He was lucky I liked him. “And you told her I would be in touch?” “Told her exactly what you said boss, what’s the problem exactly? She’s just a girl. A cute girl I’ll give you, but you are acting ….” “How am I acting Stefano?” Maybe it was time I let him in on the plan? Except maybe it wasn’t just a plan anymore. Little Alice had gotten totally under my skin.  “Do you have eyes on her?” I softened my tone, now wasn’t the time. Stefano would just have to do what I told him and shut up about it.  He would know soon enough. “Did you want eyes on her still?” “I want eyes on her always Stefano, I need to know her every move” I was fed up of his constant questions. I should have been there when she woke up. I had wanted to be there. “Find out where she is now” Stefano reached for his phone; his tone terse. when he slipped it back into his pocket, he looked pleased with himself. “She’s on the main floor, with her friends. Gambling or trying to by the sound of it” He chuckled. “Do you want someone down there” “I want you to go and ask her to have dinner with me” “You really like this girl huh?” He blew out a breath. “How are you going to explain to your dad though when you go home all smitten by some random English chick?” I chuckled. If only he knew.   Stefano was back quick, much quicker than I had expected. I raised my eyes at him. “So?” He gulped visibly.  “She said no thank you” He had every right to look nervous. No one said no to me. Yet my little English rose had the audacity to. “What do you mean she said no thank you?” “She said thanks but tell Luca I have other plans and then turned her back on me” Stefano looked as taken aback as I felt. Shit I knew I should have been there when she woke up. Last night was a massive step forward, me not being there when she woke was two equally massive steps back.  Still she actually said no. It was almost comical. I stalked from the room, my strides confident and sure. We would see if she said no to my face. She was easy to spot with Stefano at my side, pointing her out. She was laughing loudly, head thrown back, blonde hair cascading between her shoulder blades.  I watched as she threw her arms around the man to her left, her squeal contagious. She had obviously just won. Her feet left the floor, one flip flop falling off as she hugged the player to her left. Jealousy hit me like a train. Enough of this. It was time to make sure she knew who she belonged to. “Alice” I nodded politely to the croupier; who’s eyes widened. “Mr. Moretti” a formal nod. “Cash her out please” I reached for her wrist, tugging her away from the middle-aged man who was standing there thinking all his birthdays had come at once.  “Oh hey” she bent down, slipping the fallen shoe back onto her foot and giving everyone a perfect view of her creamy breasts as she bent over. Enough of this s**t. “I’m not ready to cash out yet, thanks though” she turned her back on me, leaving me staring at her bare shoulders. “I would like to take you to dinner” “I already told Stefano I’m busy, another time?” her shoulders moved, as she shrugged, but she didn’t turn. “Maybe” This girl was going to be the death of me. Infuriating woman. “Alice” My voice held a warning. A warning she ignored totally. “I am busy Luca,” The jibe wasn’t lost on me as I turned her to face me. “You aren’t too busy for me” I kissed her, and she was stiff in my arms. s**t. “I am now” “Nope you aren’t” I swung her over my shoulder, her denim clad ass in the air for everyone to see.  “Cash her out” I threw over my shoulder as I stalked away. “Will you put me down Luca” “Not until you give me time to explain” I lowered her into my arms. I wasn’t one to make a public spectacle of myself. But to get this under control I would. “There’s nothing to explain” She turned her face and my lips brushed against her cheek instead of her lip. “It was just fooling around Luca” “It wasn’t just fooling around Alice, not to me anyway” I tried to capture her lips again. And failed again. “A blow job then, no big deal” Her voice had lowered, that delectable blush creeping up her cheeks. “The best blow job of my life actually, do you think I’m really going to let you escape after a night like last night” I chuckle darkly. “You promised to spend some time with me, or are you bored of me already. Now I’ve given you what you wanted?” “No of course not “ “Good, because I’m not letting you leave my site until you agree to marry me now” She chuckled. She thought I was joking. “A Vegas wedding huh?” “You best believe it” I kissed her hand. “Say you forgive me for not being there when you woke up? I had a family emergency. Believe me I wanted to be there, hell I wanted to spend the morning in bed with you” That was the truth. I had wanted to finish what we had started.   “Forgive me?” “Ok, I forgive you. Now did you say something about food? Taking me out? Do I need to change?” she motioned for those tight little denim shorts that were driving me insane. “Nope in fact you have to many clothes on, lets go order room service”
