Chapter Nine

1285 Words
Luca     “Where the hell is, she?” I didn’t even bother trying to mask the anger in my voice as I accepted the call. I had been waiting for her for two hours at least and it was now well past midnight and there was still no sign of her. Even though she had said she would be in the hotel club. She had said that was the plan whilst licking hot sauce off her fingertips and making the most s****l noises imaginable. The fact she didn’t even know she was doing it just made it even more sexy and I had had to stop myself from laying her down right there in the middle of the diner and feasting between her legs just to see if she made the same kind of mewling sounds. “They went to Insomnia; I have eyes on them, and they are heading back to you now but boss” There was a pause. “Spit it out, if she’s with a man I’m going to break your fingers” “No, plenty tried though, didn’t have to warn any one off she didn’t seem interested in anyone” Good, that meant she was interested in me. Just like I had planned.  “Then what is it?” “I can’t even explain, but you will see when she gets there which will be any minute now” There was a laugh as a I hung up. What the f**k did he mean, I would see. If he let her get to friendly with another man, I would make good on my threat to break his fingers. Sipping the scotch, I watched the door, eyes narrowed as more and more people entered and not one of them her. Where the hell was, she. I was getting angsty, my fingers drumming angrily on the table. “Oh s**t” Stefano choked on his drink he was laughing so much. The one second I had lowered my eyes and she appeared as if by magic. Her face was shiny, and she had a funny looking hat on her head. She was also wrapping her lips around a garishly coloured horn and blowing on it enthusiastically.  For a few seconds I let myself take her in. the flushed face, cheeks red. The hair that was a little sweaty. She had been dancing and looks more than a little bit drunk. Then I realized why everyone was laughing around me. What the hell was she wearing? Then it hit me and couldn’t stop the grin that spread across my face as I watched her make her way across to the bar. And every mother fucker turned and watched them pass. “Uh oh boss, you best go get your girl” Stefano was really starting to annoy me. His constant quips that I was “p***y whipped” as he put it was starting to get on my last nerve.  But this time he had a point and my eyes narrowed as I watched a guy sling his arm around my girls waist. Ok she didn’t know she was my girl yet, but she would soon enough. “I best go and sort that” I downed my drink in one, enjoying the way it left a burning trail down my throat. “Hello baby” I slid my arounds her waist, bringing my front flush to her back and drawing her hard against me. It was a possessive move and one that could easily backfire. After all what had we shared. A few kisses that was it. I didn’t have any right to be a possessive ass hole. I was going to be though. She laughed, her lips shining a red. A very similar colour to the car we had driven round in that day. Candy red. And god they looked kissable. “Hello Luca” “Something I can help you with?” I raised a dark brow at the man hovering at her elbow. My message clear. Back off. “I was just buying the lady a drink” The man’s voice was gruff, as if he somehow claimed what was mine and I was just going to roll over and give her to him.  “And now you’re going to wish the lady a good night and walk away” The threat was plain and for a second I watched Alice’s eyes go wide. She didn’t move out of my arms though. “Do you know this punk?” Did he have a death wish or something? “Yeah he’s…” I silenced her introduction by forcibly turning her, so she was pressed up against the bar, caged inside the trap of my arms and kissing her. It was nothing like the sweet kisses I had given her earlier.  My tongue swept into her mouth, tangling with hers. It was a risky move, coming on to her like this but I had to stake a claim on her. So, I didn’t have to kill anyone just for offering to buy her a drink. Her mouth tasted like cherries and for a second I forgot we were in the middle of a crowded bar as I wrapped my hand around her Knape, bringing her to me in and keeping her there. She was the one who deepened the kiss, her arms snaking around my neck, her fingers tangled in the hair that curled over my collar. “Yeah she knows me” I tore my lips away and hissed out of the corner of my mouth. “She’s Luca Moretti’s girl” I watched him slink away, he didn’t know who I was. That was fine. He would before the night was over.  I watched as Stefano stepped out of the booth and stalked towards him. Stefano was a Stronzo, but he would hammer my message home. Literally if need be. “Luca Moretti’s girl?” Alice was giggling, twisting a piece of hair around her finger. And s**t was she wearing pigtails, damn. I shifted uncomfortably. “We can discuss that later, what the hell are you wearing?” I held her out at arm’s length to get a better view and whistled. The irony wasn’t lost on me either. The black fedora. The pig tails. The pinstripe mini dress with its dainty little collar. All finished off with sleek black thigh highs. “Its fancy dress” “Yeah, I got that, are you what I think you are princess?” “I’m a gangster” she pouted, and her hotness went off the charts. “Oh really” I closed my hands about her hips. “And is that what you think gangsters dress like?” She gave me the once over, her eyes sweeping. “Or do you think that’s how a gangster wants his woman to dress?” “I don’t know, I’ve never met a gangster” God, this girl was going to kill me. “Then how come you’re a gangsters girl?” I rubbed myself against her. I needed to get her somewhere quiet and out of that god damn dress before I started dry humping her against the bar with hundreds of eyes watching us. “I’m not anyone’s girl” “We shall see” and I kissed her again.
