Lucian studied Kael for a long moment, his piercing gaze searching for any hint of doubt. “You think one of them would agree to this? To a sham marriage?” Kael smirked faintly. “People will agree to a lot of things if the price is right. And you’re not exactly lacking in resources, Lucian.” Lucian let out a dry laugh, shaking his head. “That’s one way to put it.” Kael’s expression grew serious again as he closed the file. “Give me time. I’ll go through the profiles and narrow it down to a few candidates who might be open to the idea. But you’ll need to tread carefully. Even a contract marriage has its risks.
