Kael raised an eyebrow, clearly skeptical. “You’re considering marriage now? That’s a quick turnaround.” “Not exactly.” Lucian’s smirk widened slightly, the glint in his eyes betraying his brewing idea. “What if I had a contract wedding?” Kael frowned, crossing his arms over his chest. “A contract wedding? You mean...a fake marriage?” Lucian nodded, the idea solidifying in his mind. “Think about it. I marry someone temporarily, someone who’s willing to play along. It keeps the elders off my back, satisfies the pack’s need for tradition, and buys me time to figure out a long-term solution.” Kael’s expression remained skeptical. “And who exactly would you trust to go along with something like that? The pack would expect Luna to be involved in everything: meetings, events, and decisions.
