Chapter 4

He pushed deeper, inch by inch, filling her completely until there was no space left between them. Isla’s breath caught in her throat, her body adjusting to his size, her legs wrapping tighter around him. Lucian paused, allowing her to relax, his forehead resting against hers as he breathed heavily, their shared breath mingling in the small space between them. "Are you okay?" he whispered, his voice thick with restraint. Despite his own overwhelming need, his concern for her was paramount. He wanted to be sure that this wasn’t too much, that she was still with him, both physically and emotionally. Isla nodded, her eyes fluttering open to meet his. "Yes... don’t stop." That was all he needed to hear. Slowly, Lucian began to move, pulling back slightly before thrusting forward again, this time with more purpose. Each movement was controlled, each thrust calculated to bring her as much pleasure as possible. Isla’s soft moans filled the room, mixing with the distant rumble of thunder outside, creating a symphony of sound that only fueled Lucian’s desire further. He quickened his pace, his hips snapping forward in a rhythm that matched the beating of his own heart. Isla’s hands roamed over his back, her nails scraping lightly against his skin as she moaned his name, the sound sending a thrill through his entire body. Isla’s breath hitched again, her body tightening around him as she neared the edge. Lucian could feel the shift in her, the way her muscles contracted, the way her moans grew more desperate. His own body was on the verge of release, but he held back, determined to bring her over the edge first. "c*m for me, Isla," he whispered against her ear, his voice rough, the command both gentle and authoritative. "I want to feel you." With a soft cry, Isla’s body tensed beneath him, her orgasm crashing over her like a wave. Her walls tightened around him, pulling him deeper as her pleasure rippled through her, and Lucian followed her into the abyss. He groaned, his body shuddering as he released into her, his own climax hitting him with an intensity that left him breathless. For a long moment, they stayed like that, their bodies still intertwined, both of them breathing heavily as they slowly came down from the high. Lucian’s forehead rested against hers once more, his hand gently caressing the side of her face as he looked into her eyes. Lucian stayed perfectly still, his body pressed against hers, both of them basking in the afterglow. His mind was spinning, trying to make sense of what had just happened. He wasn't one to reach orgasm so quickly, let alone lose control the way he had tonight. His usual encounters were measured, deliberate, his pleasure always something he controlled with precision. But with Isla... everything had been different. It wasn’t just the physical connection, though that alone had been intoxicating, it was something deeper. She had awakened something in him, a need that had been buried beneath years of restraint and discipline. He couldn’t explain it, didn’t fully understand it, but the moment he had felt her body tremble beneath him, her moans filling his ears, he had been consumed by a desire so powerful it left him raw and vulnerable. He glanced down at Isla, her body now limp against his, her chest rising and falling slowly as she drifted into sleep. A small chuckle escaped him, low and quiet, as he realized she had already passed out. Her face was peaceful, her lips slightly parted as she rested, the tension that had marred her expression earlier now completely gone. She looked so serene, so beautiful, even after everything they had just shared. Lucian felt a surge of protectiveness as he gazed at her, a feeling he wasn’t accustomed to. He had never cared about the women he slept with beyond the temporary satisfaction they provided, but with Isla, it wasn’t just about the pleasure. He found himself wanting more, more of her, more of this connection, and that thought scared him. Still, despite the confusion swirling in his mind, his body wasn’t done. He could feel the desire building again, the need to be with her once more, to feel her warmth wrapped around him, to claim her in a way that left no room for doubt. But as he stared at her, the soft rise and fall of her chest, the peacefulness of her sleep, he knew he couldn’t. Not now. His c**k twitched with lingering arousal, but he forced himself to calm down, taking slow, measured breaths to steady himself. Isla needed rest, and despite his own desires, he wasn’t going to disturb her. The night had already taken a toll on her, physically and emotionally, and she deserved peace, even if only for a few hours. With a sigh, Lucian shifted his weight, carefully pulling himself out of her without waking her. He rolled to the side, giving her space, but as soon as his body left hers, he felt an overwhelming emptiness. The bed felt cold without her warmth, and a strange sense of loss settled over him. He couldn't explain why, but he craved the feel of her against him, the reassurance of her presence. So, without hesitation, Lucian reached out and gently pulled Isla into his arms. She stirred slightly, mumbling something incoherent in her sleep, but she didn’t wake. Instead, she instinctively curled into him, her head resting on his chest, her body fitting perfectly against his. Lucian wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, and for the first time in what felt like forever, he allowed himself to simply relax. The storm outside continued to rage, but inside this room, with Isla in his arms, everything felt calm. As he lay there, staring up at the ceiling, Lucian couldn’t help but think about what had just happened, about how drastically everything had changed between them. He had always kept her at arm’s length, never allowing himself to see her as anything more than a trusted companion, a friend. But tonight had shattered those walls, and now, there was no going back. For now, he would let her rest, let her find solace in his arms. But deep down, Lucian knew this was just the beginning. There was no way he could walk away from her after tonight. As he listened to the sound of her soft breathing, his grip on her tightened just slightly, a silent vow that he would protect her, no matter what. Whether she knew it or not, Isla was his now. And Lucian wasn’t the type to let go easily. Eventually, his own exhaustion began to creep in, his body finally relaxing as he allowed himself to drift into sleep. But even as his eyes closed, his thoughts remained on her, the woman who had unknowingly claimed his heart.
