Cheyenne’s P.O.V
I felt like I was on fire, I wanted to find water and jump head first into it to try and cool off and put the fire out. My heart was racing so fast that it felt like it was going to burst through my chest any minute now. I kept hearing voices, Mercury’s and someone else's, maybe it was the doctor Mercury mentioned before I passed out. I don't think they realised that I could hear them and that I was listening to every single word they were saying. I even heard the link that Mercury did, asking Cody to bring him clothes, but I have no idea how I heard it. How do they do that? How can I hear them? I felt like my body was floating through some dark place, but at the same time it felt really heavy. I knew I had been hurt and I knew that I had killed someone, I had to, he was going to stab Mercury. As if my thoughts were heard I heard a sweet woman's voice, trying to talk to me.
“Child, child you're going to be okay, but you need to wake up now. Mercury is going to need you more than ever.” The woman said, making me look around, but there was no one there.
“Who are you? Where are you?” I asked, still looking around and trying to follow the sound of the woman's voice, but I couldn't do anything.
“I'm right here, but right now it's not the time for you to see me, not until you are ready, my child. I'll come to you when you are ready and let you see me, but until then you need to open your beautiful eyes. It's been a week now and you have finally changed into what you were always meant to be. I know you're going to be angry, so let it out, let it all out. You're going to hate for a while, but then you will forgive, just dont hate for too long or you will destroy him, dear. Now, open those eyes and everything will be okay, until we meet again I must say goodbye, until then.” The woman said, confusing the s**t out of me. What was she talking about?
“Wait. Wait who are you? Please come back.” I called out for her, but there was no reply, she was gone. I felt so upset and alone now, when suddenly I heard a loud beeping noise and it sounded like it was coming from some sort of machine. My eyes fluttered open for a few seconds before I was finally able to open them fully and I must have flinched or twitched or something because the next thing I knew Mercury jumped up and so did the doctor sitting beside him. The doctor rushed over checking my vitals and shining a f*****g bright torch in my eyes, which was really not appreciated, but I knew he was just doing his job.
“Hi, I’m Doctor Cloud, How are you feeling? Do you have any questions? Do you think you can sit up?” Doctor Cloud said, bombarding me with questions.
“I feel okay….wow the room looks really bright and clear in here. I can try to sit up.” I replied and Mercury helped me scoot up the bed and into a sitting position. I looked around the room and it was just like I had got a new pair of eyes, everything looked clearer and my hearing was like 100 percent more louder now, this was crazy.
“I do have a few questions. Did I get new eyes because this is just insane, my vision was a little bit blurry before and now everything is so freaking clear and my hearing is crazy too. What the hell is going on?” I asked, but Mercury and doctor Cloud just looked at each other, then back at me.
“I think the boss will explain it once you are at home.” Doctor Cloud replied and I nodded, closing my eyes again. I woke up after what I thought was just a few minutes of resting my eyes, but the clock on the wall said differently, it must be wrong.
“How do you feel? You have been out for a few hours, you fell asleep.” Doctor Cloud said and I chuckled.
“Actually I feel great, when can I go home?” I replied, stretching my arms.
“You can go now if you want, Mercury got you a change of clothes and he's waiting for you outside.” Doctor Cloud said and right when he said that Mercury came walking inside. Doctor Cloud took the IV out of my arm and disconnected all the monitors and machines that I was hooked up to.
“Go get ready, he’ll be here when you come out.” Doctor Cloud said and I nodded, went into the bathroom to change my clothes and came back out.
“I'm ready, I feel like I can run a thousand miles. This is nuts.” I said, making Mercury laugh as he took my arm.
“Come on let's go.” Mercury replied, walking me out. Mercury helped me get in the car and then went round to his side, getting in and driving back home. I was trying to remain as calm as possible, I kept looking around and I swear I saw a deer running in the woods, but it was a mile out. We finally arrived home and Mercury helped me out of the car and into the house, up to his room and that's when it all happened. All the questions I had been dying to ask I was finally able to put a voice to them and when I turned around and looked at him, Mercury started to slowly back away from me.
“What the hell happened to me? What did you turn me into? What the hell is up with my eyesight and hearing? And what is that smell? I can smell almost everything and at the moment I can smell mint and ginger.” I asked, sniffing the air as the delicious aroma made its way to my nose. Where was that smell coming from?
“I’ll answer all your questions, but please sit down and try to stay as calm as you can. Okay?” Mercury replied, taking a deep breath.
“Alright.” I said, sitting down on the bed. I was ready for answers and I was going to get them one way or another.
“First off, you needed a blood transfusion, so I gave you my blood, but…..shit….” Mercury said, muttering the last part under his breath and making me really nervous.
“I might as well tell you, I'm a werewolf okay, my house, these people are what you call my pack and pack house. I'm the top mob boss, Trevor, Spike and the rest are werewolves, the only one that's not is Cody, he's human. When my blood got transferred to you it changed you into one of us and that's the reason you can see, hear and smell so much better. The scent you are smelling, mint and ginger, that's me. You are imprinting on me, meaning we are mates.” Mercury said and stopped talking as he looked at me, but I just started laughing.
“You've got to be f*****g kidding me? Is this a f*****g joke? Okay, okay if you're really a werewolf then turn into one. Right here right now.” I replied, trying to prove that it was all one big joke.
“I don’t think youre ready for that, Cheyenne.” Mercury said, sighing.
“I knew it, you are nothing but a liar. You are lying to me.” I said, getting angry and then he growled at me.
“Fine, but don't say I didn't tell you.” Mercury said, taking his clothes off. I watched on in shock as Mercury’s body started to shake and convulse, his bones started to break and dislocate and fur started sprouting on his body. A few minutes later I was looking at the same wolf that I had seen in my nightmares, the same huge black wolf that saved me. Mercury started to shift back to his human form and I thought I was going to faint, I was in shock and I was so confused, with so many thoughts rushing through my head all at once.
“It was you all along, I was dreaming about you. You would save me and start doing that thing you just did and then I would wake up.” I said, pacing back and forth while Mercury got dressed. I was beyond pissed and saw a hairbrush on the dresser, I picked it up and turned around, throwing it at him. I started picking up more things, throwing them at him and he was trying to duck and dodge everything.
“YOU SON OF A b***h! YOU TURNED ME INTO A WEREWOLF! A f*****g WEREWOLF! I'M GOING TO BECOME A WEREWOLF AND THEN WHAT?!” I shouted at him, throwing something else at him.
“AM I GOING TO EAT DOG FOOD AND START SHITTING OUT IN THE YARD?!” I shouted again, but this time he started laughing so hard that he was clutching his ribs.
“No dummy, you're going to still be you. If your what...18, then when you turn 19 you will shift for the first time and meet your wolf.” Mercury said, calming down.
“MEET MY WHAT?!” I yelled and he was yet again trying not to laugh, but his eyes kept twinkling at me as if he thought I was cute or something when I was freaking out, when I'm really pissed off.
“Listen Cheyenne, on your next birthday, that is when you will meet your wolf. She will talk to you and guide you through things, she will help you through the first shifting process.” Mercury said and my eyes went huge as I grew angrier.
“So, here I am cut deep after saving your life and you f*****g decide to turn me into a f*****g killing, rampaging werewolf. You have got to be f*****g kidding me.” I replied, picking up the hairdryer and throwing it at him, but he ducked and the dryer hit the wall, breaking it. The pieces fell on the floor and as I looked at it, it felt just like my life right now, shattered into pieces.
“Get the hell out of my room, right now. I f*****g hate you. You turned me into a f*****g dog for crying out loud. I bet I'm going to end up freaking barking and chewing on bones. What were you thinking? Get out now!” I said, trying not to raise my voice with how sore my throat was feeling at all the screaming and shouting I had done, but he still stood there.
“I HATE YOU, YOU f*****g ASSHOLE!” I screamed out, but I would never forget the look on his face. I wanted to run to him and wrap my arms around him, telling him not to go, not to leave, but I was just too angry. I saw the hurt in his eyes and watched as he turned and walked out of my room, shutting the door behind him. I walked over and did the thing I hate most when I'm angry, I cried. I leaned against the door and slid down it, bringing my knees up to my chest and buried my head in them.

I slid down the door after I closed it behind me, not wanting to leave her and I sat there for what felt like hours, but I knew she wouldn't let me back inside. I got up off the floor and glanced back at her door one last time before walking downstairs. I just got to the kitchen when I came face to face with Trevor and Cody.
“Man, she's just mad right now, just wait a few days. She’ll be alright.” Trevor said, but I just shook my head.
“She hates me, she actually said that she hates me.” I replied, feeling defeated, hurt, sad and alone. Cody walked over to me and hopped up onto a stool.
“Listen boss, I know Cheyenne, she will be mad for awhile and then she will calm down. Just give her space and she will be fine.” Cody said and I guess he knew best, seeing as he had known her the longest out of the three of us. What if she never forgave me though? What if she rejected me? What if she hates me forever? What if I never get to be with her?
