Chapter 26 confused

Mercury’s P.O.V

  The wolfsbane she injected me with must have knocked me out because now instead of being chained to the wall I was not chained to a chair. I struggled with the chains and they kept burning my wrists, but I didn't care, I needed to get out of these things. I pulled once more and stopped, just as I heard Cheyenne’s link, but I could barely make it out. The poison was still in my system, but I could tell it was her and I caught the last sentence, she called me her love and that gave me the motivation I needed. I struggled with the chains and finally broke them, I stood up from the chair and was about to shift when I was suddenly hit hard over the head and knocked down to the floor. All I saw were black spots, clouding my vision and I went really dizzy, that's when I heard her, the woman laughing behind me.

  “You clumsy man, look at you all face first down on the floor, now what would your Luna say if she saw you like this?” The Woman said, still laughing and I tried to get up, so I could catch hold of her leg, but she moved out of the way. She shook her head at me and her shoulder length hair swayed as she shook her head, her brown eyes had a glint of laughter in them.

  Suzie’s P.O.V

  I almost felt sorry for him, almost. I was only in my forties and I knew that Alpha Kent would betray me right after this one was dead, so I had to play this my way. If that meant stock-piling tons of spray and keeping it with me so that I could be Mercury’s Luna, then so be it. This could afterall be a lot of fun, if I played my cards right. I smirked as I took the spray out and began spraying it all over me, I was going to be ready for anything. When I knew that the spray had taken effect and the scent was on me, I kneeled down in front of him and lifted up his chin.

  “Cheyenne, how did you get here so fast?” Mercury asked, his eyes going wide when he saw me and I knew that the spray was working.

  “I’m here, my love. We are home now, come on your hurt. Let me help you.” I said, hiding my smirk. I helped him up and he leaned on me as I walked him out of the room and into one of the bedrooms. I knew I couldn't sleep with him just yet, I had to get rid of the real Cheyenne first and as soon as she comes I will. I placed him on the bed and grabbed a wet washcloth, placing it on his head.

  “There you go love, you have a big bump on your head. You're safe now in our home.” I said, still trying to hide the smirk at the fact that I was the one who caused the bump on his head.

  Mercury’s P.O.V

  I don't get it, I feel so confused, first I was being held captive and now I was back home. How did this happen so fast? I tried to sit up, but I felt so dizzy and then I felt a sharp pain in the side of my neck. I looked out of the corner of my eye and saw her quickly hide something, but I was just too weak and tired to ask what it was. Is this really her or was this all in my mind? I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer and I didn't like the way I felt at all. I hadn't heard from my wolf or my lycan at all and that bothered me. I yawned as I started to feel really drowsy.

  “Cheyenne, I'm glad I'm finally home.” I whispered as my eyes closed. I knew I couldn't fight the need to sleep any longer.

  Suzie’s P.O.V

  I smirked when he finally fell asleep, the drugs I had used taking effect fast. 

  “Sleep, you’ll wake up with a whole different attitude.” I said, smirking to myself. I watched him sleep for a little bit, making sure the drugs were working and then I got off the bed and walked out of the room, closing the door behind me. 

  “Is he sleeping?” Alpha Kent asked and I nodded, turning to face him.

  “Yes, with the help of this, it puts anyone to sleep in an instant. He thinks I’m Cheyenne….oh that reminds me, it's time for the spray, but I don't have to use it just yet not until I go back in there. Come on, let's rest up, it doesn't look like anyone is coming tonight.” I said, holding up the syringe for him to see.

  “They might not show up tomorrow either, if that shifter does his job. If he succeeds then we keep Mercury here, kill the shifter and her, then we win. We get it all.” Alpha Kent said, as we both started laughing. We walked down the hall to the kitchen, grabbed something to eat and then went into our room. I’ll play along until it gets down to it and then if he betrays me and I have to, I will kill him, I thought to myself, while still smiling at Alpha Kent.

  Cheyenne’s P.O.V

  The night went on and I kept tossing and turning in my sleep as I started dreaming and then out of the blue a beautiful woman appeared in front of me. She was extremely beautiful and was wearing a long white gown, she had white hair, blue eyes and she was glowing. I took a few steps back, not knowing who this woman was and she just smiled kindly at me.

  “It's okay child, I mean you no harm.” The woman said and her voice sounded strangely familiar. I had heard it somewhere before which was weird because I had never seen her before and then it clicked with me. This was the woman’s voice I heard when I was stabbed.

  “I know you, I mean I don't know you, but I know your voice. You're beautiful.” I replied, confusing myself in the process and I just hoped she understood what I meant, but by the way she smiled at me I think she did.

  “Thank you child, but let me introduce myself. I am the Moon Goddess, I rule over the werewolves, were-bears and….well, you get what i mean. I wanted to come and talk to you, things are going to get rough when you get him back and he will need to be picked up for a bit, until he realises who you are. They're going to brainwash him and he will think that he is just a weakling wolf that has nothing, they will break him down and you have to build him back up, make him remember who he is and what he has. Be strong, Cheyenne, be strong for the both of you.” The Moon Goddess said and with that she was gone. I woke up straight after and saw that it was eight in the morning, that was hell of a dream, but at least she warned me of things to come. I wanted to get going straight away, so I took a quick shower, got out and dried off, walking back into the bedroom to get dressed. I looked at my clothes and remembered the first time I went on a job with Mercury and I was just as nervous then, but now I was determined and knew what I had to do. I grabbed my black jeans, black shirt and black jacket, with my favorite knee high boots. I left my hair down, like Mercury suggested last time and I thought I was ready, but I felt like I was missing something. I walked over to the wall by the dresser and pushed the hidden button, I remembered Mercury showing me this and a door opened just like before. I walked inside and looked at everything, this was Mercury’s personal weapons room. I grabbed six silver daggers off the wall, placing each of them in my pockets and then I looked at the guns, taking three of them and making sure they were fully loaded. I walked out of the room and pushed the button, letting the door automatically close behind me. I went into the bathroom and opened a small door, where the bag was and when I opened it, sure enough there were silver chains inside it. I took the bag and closed the door, walking back into the bedroom, I laid everything out in front of me, making sure that I had everything I needed and a few extras just in case and I was finally ready. I grabbed everything and went downstairs, where I was surprised to see Hawk, Trevor, Cody, Spike, Shark, Goldie, Amber, Nora and a bunch more ready to go. When they saw me they all stood up and bowed their heads to me.

  “My family, I know it's going to be hard and some of us might not make it out alive, but I want to take the time to thank each and everyone of you right now, for helping me to get your Alpha back. We will get him back, I promise and I'll kill anyone that will try to stand in my way. I promise you that I'll get him back and he will be just as mean as ever, but I will warn you though…..The Moon Goddess came to me last night in a dream and talked to me. She told me that they have been brainwashing him, so when we do get him back we will have a lot of work to do. Are you with me on this.” I said, trying to be honest with them about everything. I wasn't going to keep anything from them, they deserved to know the truth about what we were going to face.

  “Yes Luna Alpha.” They all said in unison, but they didn't really seem that pepped up and that worried me.

  “What? I can't hear mumbles. Are you with me?” I asked again, slightly raising my voice this time.

  “YES LUNA ALPHA!!” Everyone screamed out, raising their fists in the air. Now this was the response I was looking for.

  “That's more like it. Alright, now let's get going, we have maybe a five hour drive from here and I know they will be waiting for us.” I said, making my way down to them and they all nodded. We left the pack house and loaded into the big black SUVs that Mercury used for his jobs and set off. We drove for four hours and forty five minutes before coming to a town that barely had any light. It was like a ghost town and no wonder they loved living here, without the light they could easily shift without being seen. Everyone was scrambling to get home and It was like the boogeyman to the humans, they would run home before dark, locking their doors and windows before the sun went down. Alpha Kent wanted it this way, he wanted them to be afraid, at night the boogeyman came out and would run through the streets, doing as he pleased. None of the humans would dare peep out of their houses to see who it was, they all believed the rumour here. We drove past people running home, then came out the other end of the town and were now heading into the woods. To the human eye it looked really scary, especially if you didn't know what you were looking for. We turned off going down a long dark dirt road and it took us twenty minutes to reach a huge wrought iron gate. We stopped the cars and everyone got out.

  “We walk from here. If they see the lights from the cars then it will alert them to our presence.” I said and they all nodded.

  “Cheyenne, I know he is your mate, but he is also my friend and I will fight beside you until my dying breath. We will find him, I promise.” Hawk said, walking next to me.

  “Thank you, Hawk.” I replied, smiling at him. We turned toward the gate just as it opened and a guard appeared, quickly followed by two others. We all immediately got into our fighting stances, but the guards just held their hands up, as if they were surrendering to us. I lowered my guard and looked them over, they seemed really sad and it looked as if they were glad to see us which was weird.
