I hated the fact that sort of, kind of, missed Samuel’s presence. The long run I took cleared my head a little. Now I was laying on my bed thinking about what I had agreed to with Samuel. Why did I give him a chance?
“Hey,” Samuel said as he lay next to me on my bed.
“My bed, not yours,” I growled. “Did you visit me the night before last?”
“Yeah, you said you loved me.”
“I was asleep and you were warm.”
“I know, I know,” he sighed.
“Why did you attack us?” I asked.
“Your friend attacked me.”
“You trespassed.”
“True. I had to defend myself.”
“Okay, but that’s not the first time.”
“I know. The people I attacked was for personal reasons.”
“You had no right,” I growled.
He growled back, “They deserved it”
“They were good people.” I pushed him off my bed. Recently, before I met him, he attacked a few of my pack members.
He growled louder at me. “You don’t know them like I do,” he said.
“I have known them for years,” I said.
“Not very well then,” he grunted.
“Why did I even give you a chance?”
His eyes widened and there was silence between us.
“I don’t know. Why did you?” he asked, teeth clenched.
“I don’t know. I thought maybe you deserved the benefit of the doubt, guess I was wrong,” I said. I was too angry to care about anything else. I can’t believe the reason he attacked my pack.
“Why did I ever claim you? All you do is fight with me,” he said.
“You are a jerk. I have every right to fight with you.” he glared at me, “get out.”
“Gladly,” he smirked as he left.
Why did I ever give him a chance I don’t even know that jerk.
“What happened?” Lily asked as she ran into my room with Kade following behind her.
“Nothing,” I grumbled.
“That was not nothing,” Kade sniffed the air.
“Samuel.” He growled his name before looking at me. “What did he do?” He asked.
“Nothing,” I said shrugging.
“Samuel, as in mysterious guy who claimed you?” Lily asked.
“Why was he here?” Kade asked.
“Yes, Lily, that one,” I said.
“Why don’t I know him?” Lily squealed. I thought Kade told her everything.
“Not now Lily,” Kade and I said in unison
“We talked,” I said. It was the truth.
“Talked,” Kade scoffed.
“Yes, we talked loudly,” I said.
“As if that makes everything better.”
“You know what Kade? Shut up.”
Kade furrowed his brow at me. I hated fighting with him and I never tell him to shut up. But right now I didn’t care and it wasn’t his business.
“I hate him. Why did he do this to me?”
“You’re not rethinking dad’s offer, are you?” He asked.
“No.” How dare he accuse me of that? I scoffed.
“Kade sweetie, go. I want to talk to Savannah,” Lily said, as she pushed Kade out of my room.
“Fine,” Kade growled slamming the door.
“Savannah,” Lily said, as she turned to face me.
“I don’t want to hear it Lily,” I growled.
“Werewolves are grumps. Anyway. What happened?” I knew if I told Lily she wouldn’t explode in my face like Kade.
“I gave him a chance and he ruined it. I hate him”
“That’s anger talking. You don’t hate him. If you did, you wouldn’t have given him a chance.”
“I didn’t absolutely hate him then,” I mumbled. “Besides I have every right to be like this.”
“See, you don’t hate him. You’re just angry with him” she nodded. “He is your mate though.”
“I hate it when you’re right.”
She chuckled.
I’m supposed to be the future Alpha. I need to get this straightened out.
“Okay, thanks for all your wisdom. I have business to attend too,” I lied. Business to attend too, I hate that excuse.
“Okay, glad I could help.” She gave me a hug before leaving my room.
I need to find Samuel. I walked over to my newly broken window and crawled out, picking up his scent. I followed it in human form.
