I held Luna close as she slept, her lips parted in soft snores, her hair a damp, tangled mess across my chest. Darkness lay beyond the church’s frosted panes, but I couldn’t sleep. I thought of all the ways I wanted to f**k with her mind, break down the barriers holding her back from cuffs. We’d gotten through the whole fire/burning limit pretty easily since she’d been smart enough to figure out it was wax rather than flame I burned her with.
