Chapter 34
Calissa’s POV
“Dinner is ready, Calissa. We are ready to eat,” I heard my aunt’s voice at the door.
“I am a little upset today, Aunt Maisie. Can I eat in here tonight?” I asked her as we headed down the hall to the dining room area.
“I am sorry, dear. But we need you in here tonight,” my aunt told me as we turned the corner to enter the main area of the apartment. She continued to the table, assuming that I was right behind her. I stood there stunned to see that everyone was already seated and waiting for me. There was one seat left open at the table. It had me sitting right between Varon and Peter. Indigo was seated between his mother and Peter. They had added a section to the dining room table and two more chairs to accommodate everyone.
