Her comment hurt me very much. I did care, a lot. I loved her, but she was right. I have also failed her. She would probably have been safer here being raised by her aunt and uncle. But I know for a fact that if her powers had not been bound by me. She would not have survived her childhood to even become a blessed mermaid. She would never have made it this far.
