Jansen turned and hurried ahead of Stella into the house, clearly as relieved to get away from Grover’s domineering presence as she was. In the hallway, he gestured to a box of equipment.
“Please use the foot covers and gloves. We combed the bathroom and bedroom for evidence until late last night, but there wasn’t much to be found forensically. Or rather, there was too much to be found everywhere except the scene itself. The bathroom was one of the only places in the house that had been well cleaned before the party and stayed that way. It’s easier to access the master bedroom through the glass sliding door, but I guess you’d like to view the house also, so follow me. You’ll have to walk carefully and pick your way.
