“She’s beautiful, Andy,” Mickey said as he carried his newborn niece. Andy finally brought home her triplets after staying for almost three weeks in the hospital. The doctors permitted them to go home, which became special when they arrived hours before New Year’s Day.
Andy smiled at her twin. “She’s a beauty. Just like her name,” she replied. Amelia Grace. The combination of their mom’s name. Amelia was from their mom Elise’s second name, and Grace was from the mom they grew up with.
“I know. Mom would have been so proud,” Mickey agreed. That at least made him happy to remember that Grace was from the mom he and Andy once knew. He had lapses recently, and he couldn’t remember some of the valuable and memorable experiences he had in his formative years.
