Everything fell into place like clockwork. Viola was very supportive and helpful if I needed anything, which was rare behavior for her. I now had daily lunches with Van, at his insistence, as well as dinner if I wasn’t working, which was surreal in and of itself. We got along so well, it was almost as if we’d never been apart, though we had been. And it was better than before, because s*x wasn’t involved, though the tension was definitely there.
