He immediately slapped Oliver’s hand away from his face, “What are you doing now? I didn’t even look at you like you wished, did I?”
Oliver blinked his eyes innocently, “What can I do? You looked so cute throwing a tantrum at me.”
“...”
‘What did he mean by tantrum? When did I throw a tantrum at this weirdo?’ William really couldn’t understand how this world works anymore.
“Why would I throw a tantrum at you? Who are you to me? I don’t even know your name,” William rolled his eyes visibly.
After speaking did he realize that this man whom he had never met had done many things to him- saved his life, invaded his mouth with his finger and even stole his first kiss- and yet he never knew his name.
He did not understand when he became so careless.
He felt like the man in front of him had sucked away all his senses and thinking ability as long as he was standing in front of him.
Oliver on the other hand softly chuckled and once again pinched his cheek, “So you are throwing a tantrum to know about me? All you have to do is to ask.”
“...” William was dumbfounded for the umpteenth time and felt that this would not be the last time because of this weirdo, “When did I say that I want to know you? Which ears of yours heard me saying anything like that?”
“Didn’t you just say that you do not know my name? Well, I should be the one saying sorry for this. Let me introduce myself. My name is Oliver. I wouldn't mind if you give me any nickname to show our closeness to each other though, hehe,” Oliver spoke with a cheeky grin letting a couple of dimples display on both his cheeks.
“...” ‘Who would want to give you a nickname?’ “And who is close to you? Weirdo..” William spoke some of his thoughts out loud without realizing.
“Ohhh” Oliver once again gave a cheeky grin somehow showing a victorious look, making William have a bad feeling about this. As expected, his next words once again let him speechless, “You already gave me a nickname? Though Weirdo is not as close as something like ‘Baby’ or ‘Honey’, this is unique in a way. No one would dare to call me that anyway. Since it is you calling me that, I would love it.”
He said it like as long as it was him who called him, he wouldn’t mind any stupid name he gives. William somehow felt that if he voiced his doubts out loud, this weirdo would really agree to it.
He wanted to say something to retort but before he could, he saw Oliver’s expression changing before he sighed in regret, “Baby, I have to leave now. Let us meet again later and have a good chat alright?”
“Who wants to have a chat with a weirdo like you?” William rolled his eyes.
Oliver chuckled and suddenly planted a peck on his cheeks, “You look really cute when you have something in your mind and say the opposite. Let us see if we are really fated to meet each other, okay. If I really find you again, I promise, I will not leave you ever again.”
William was shocked by the sudden kiss and also the very sudden promise which Olive gave very seriously.
‘Fate? So we'll meet again only if we are fated to each other? Hmm.. let’s see if we really have any fate with each other.’
His thoughts got a smile over his thin lips which mesmerized Oliver to no limit. He pinched his cheeks again, “You vixen. If you smile like that, I won’t be able to leave you at all. What should I do? I don’t want to go but I really have to.”
With regret, he turned around to leave but after a couple of steps, he stopped in his tracks and turned around before giving a warning, “I am warning you. Don’t ever smile at any other person, alright? Your smile belongs to me and only me. No one else. Do you understand?”
“...”
“Okay, I am leaving now. Let’s meet again.”
This time, Oliver did not stop nor did he turn back as he left in a hurry.
William was once again standing all alone in the empty street as he looked at Oliver’s back. For some unknown reason, his heart felt a little lonely looking at his back.
He was never one to believe in the word ‘fate’. But because of Oliver’s words, he wanted to believe the word.
He wanted to see if there is really something called fate and if it would really make the both of them meet each other again.
Once he got the thought, William was shocked himself. He shook his head rapidly to get rid of the absurd thoughts he just had.
How can he think of something like that?
Why would he even want to meet the weirdo again?
Even if they meet, so what? It is not like he liked men?
Just because he did not push the man away when he violated him doesn’t mean he had any feelings for the stranger.
He can’t afford to think about anything like this at this moment.
He was already on the way to another pack to confirm the marriage alliance with another woman. What would change now even if he met someone who could make his heart flutter a couple of times?
Nothing.
There would be nothing that could be changed.
Even if they would really meet in the future, his words would still remain the same that nothing would change.
Also, there is no way they would really meet again.
Except for his name, he knew nothing else about Oliver. And Oliver didn’t even know his name, let alone his identity.
They met as strangers and they would remain as strangers forever. There would be no change.
Yes, no change at all.
