Lana arrived home to see the puce vase she’d bought shattered to pieces in the middle of the foyer and an eerie silence in the house. Sniffing the air, she could sense Tony wasn’t home. Where had he gone? And why had he broken her vase? Did he hate her for having a mate? Lana wondered these questions as she cleaned up the mess and waited for Tony to get home. She took out a container of leftovers he’d grabbed from Xavier and Rose’s place and began to warm it up. It was an ongoing joke that Tony lived off of leftovers from their house.
