When Rose walked down the steps the next day she was surprised to find someone she hadn’t expected to see in a million years. Alyssa stood awkwardly as Xavier looked at her with crossed arms. The look on Xavier’s face was not pleased and Alyssa held something that looked like a photo album in her hand.
“You have a visitor Rose.” His words were clipped.
Rose started a little. Why was he upset? And did he mean Alyssa? Wouldn’t Alyssa be here to see Xavier considering their…history?
“You have nothing to worry about.” Alyssa assured looking at Xavier. “My father’s in a complete vegetative state. But it’s better if you do mark-“
