Chapter 11

1048 Words
Farrell's POV I stare at her vacant eyes, still unable to believe that she is dead. That I won't get to hear her voice again. It hurts me even more that the last thing I did to her was defying her orders and opening the gates. She repeatedly told me that it was nothing but danger outside. That it's a bad idea for us to host a party. But I was deaf. I didn't hear a word that she said. And I did this. This is all my fault. I shouldn't have ordered to lower the gates. I shouldn't have hosted a party for the Alphas in hopes that they could become my friends. I shouldn't have let her have that wine. "Go get that bottle of wine with my name on it," I ask Meghan and she nods standing up and walking towards the drinks table. We are all Frozen right where we are. With my mom on the ground and me kneeling right beside her. I look at everyone around me. A few of them look sad. A few of them look shocked. But many look like they saw this coming. And now as they look back at me, they are afraid. Meghan brings me the bottle of wine and I take it in my hands. Before I take a sniff of it, Meghan nods at me confirming that it's poisoned. "I don't know how I didn't notice it earlier," she whispers, fresh tears pooling in her eyes again. She is holding my mom's hand and kissing it repeatedly apologizing. But it won't bring my mom back, will it? "There will be less blood shed if the person behind this comes out on their own," I say as I look at everyone. I stand on my feet again and turn around to see if anyone is as much as even raising their hand but I see no one. "Sebastian. Block the borders. No one is getting out of here for a while," I say and he bows to me before walking away. And finally I see fear in almost everyone's faces. There are a hundred people around me now. Alphas, Betas, Lunas and a very few Omegas included. "Now. I am going to ask you all this one last time. Who did this?" I ask and wait for them to answer or for the one behind it to walk out of the crowd and before me. "Alright. Arnold," I call for Arnold. My Gamma who wouldn't really talk to me much other than submitting reports every single day. "Take my mother to the pack house," I tell him and he bows to me, lifting my mom in his arms and Meghan follows him without a question. Sebastian is done with blocking the borders and he finally joins as well. He stands beside me and looks around trying to understand the situation. "Okay so now. I give you all two options. It's either you let me murder you all here or murder just the one who did this," I say. The Lunas shriek as soon as the words come out of my mouth. Because I am dead serious. Mom repeatedly told me that I am much stronger than I believe myself to be. And right then, I see two different groups form in front of me. A group of almost all the Alphas present here. And another group of Betas, Lunas and everyone else. I guess barely fifteen Alphas are standing on one side. And on their faces, they don't have any strong emotion of guilt, regret or remorse. Instead I see glares. "Why?" I ask and that's the only thing I ask. I just want to know what mom did other than lock me up for a decade and half, which by the way was none of their concerns. "It was meant for you but your mom just saved you and your pathetic fate," I hear Alpha Louis himself say. I didn't know he was the f*****g snake. Was that why he was always around me since morning? I only thought he was talking to me because he wants to be friends with me. But no, he just had to extract any information from me. "I thought that mixing poison in the cake would be a good idea and that you wouldn't suspect anyone. But I wasn't ready for the collateral damage," he says again and I smirk. "I didn't know your brain could even comprehend such complex thoughts. Because I honestly thought you were dumber than that," I say, making him flare his nostrils in anger. "Because if you were smart," I pause as I take a few steps closer to him,"you would know that I would kill you and bury you right where you are standing" I see him gulp and probably he is afraid but he is not ready to show. And it's then I decided that I want to see the look of fear on his face. For him to beg me to spare his life. And then watch him die just like I saw my mother's face go pale. "Was it your idea?" I ask him and he nods. "And who helped you?" I ask him again and he looks around, at the other Alphas who are standing with him. "Great teamwork," I say with a smirk. "You are a threat to all of us. The prophecy says you are a monster," someone screams making me chuckle. "Alright. The prophecy also states that I am a conqueror," I say and take a few steps backwards so I can see everyone's faces. "So listen to me every single one of you," I scream and their attention is all on me. "I, Alpha Farrell of The Nightfall Pack stand here in front of you all. And this is me throwing you all a challenge. Waging a war. Save your packs from me because I have no intention to do so," I say and the feeling of fear is thick in the air. "Especially the ones on this side," I say pointing at the Alphas standing around Alpha Louis,"wait for your sweet death because I will kill you all" I point my finger at them, eyes glaring at every single Alpha, "It's a promise"
