Marley quickly lifted her head, holding her breath. She couldn't see anything past a dark curtain. That meant Aiden couldn't see anything within. That meant he felt it, too. Right? Marley heard a soft, almost inaudible sigh when she gently touched his palm. For a tiny, little moment, she let her hand linger in his, she let her eyes flutter shut, she let herself feel the warmth, the thrumming along her skin, the sparks.
