Chapter 07: Life is Good

Li Xian pointed the sword to balance himself. It did not mean he wanted to pose. He did not waste his time.

He retreats two step backward, quickly pluck the dagger from the wolf body and then he jumped forward.

The other side is empty; the front is full of wolves.

He did not want these wolves to use other opening and enter the hut. He jumps down from the hut veranda and attacks the front, so the front will be the place where all the wolves go.

‘Heh’ he smiles. He is barefoot and his footstep is full of the blood of those wolves that he had killed

He dashes forward with a stabbing motion, the gleam of his sword shining bright, straight like an arrow flying through the air, his feet were lift up from the ground about a few inches, looking he is riding the wind.

His stabbing motion stab the wolf in the front. Blood squirted toward his face. He closes his eyes as the blood splash onto his face.

His eyes are closed but his sense is still alive.

The two wolf in his left and right lunged toward him. He jumps upward, creating an arc, his body like a pendulum swinging, his sword moves, its sharpness could cut normal armor like paper bisected the wolf.

He opens his eyes, the wolf split apart, the sword is now free.

Spinning in the air, two dagger flies like a soaring phoenix, straight at the two wolf head, drilling deep into the wolf brain.

Three wolves were killed in a three second duration. Li Xian landed, the soil is wet but because of his ability of Swift Stride he could balance himself

His stamina even though it is a bit depleted, he still has enough energy.

Li Xian landed and then as he saw around six wolf coming toward him he once again jumped. This time he jumps high, the wolf lunges upward, yet their claws could not reach him.

Landing a few feet from the two wolf he killed before, he rolled forward, grabbing the two dagger and then made a horizontal s***h in front of him.

One of the wolf who were late to charge ta him were hit by that attack.

The gleaming shine of the sword look like lightning flashing as it cut cleanly the wolf two front feet.

Then using the momentum of his charge, Li Xian put energy in his thigh and jumped up rolling in the air while his sword pointed and stab toward the wolf.

The wolf had not even had the chance to howl in pain before it died of a sword stab. Then Li Xian landed once again at the front of the hut.

Agile and lethal. Swift and deadly. A kid of twelve years of age would never be able to do these kind of things.

Li Xian if not for the fact that he has the system is doomed to die tonight. He probably would have been this pack of wolf dinner tonight

Smiling and heaving a little, he once again lifted his sword and pointed it toward those wolves.

‘Heh’ he smirked. He was fast and his strike are all lethal strikes.

It was like the moment he holds the sword all this method of attacking all come into his mind.

But each of the attack he had executed requires high concentration of focus and quick reflex. His stamina is draining.

‘Only six more’ he thought to himself, as he takes his deep breath and regain his bearing and energy

‘Aish’ he thought he would have more time and plan to buy some powerful martial arts skills. Maybe there is even a pill store. But nothing works according to plan.

Three wolf lunges toward him, three flashes of light appeared. The wolf howls in pain, and then whimpers before they no longer have any sound

The other three wolf that is slightly late miss their target.

The three wolves who is still did not land onto the ground is in position like a line up in the air.

 When the crescent s***h was used, the two wolf at the side had heavy injury at the back of its neck.

But the one in the middle had light wounds.

Li Xian landed. The three wolves also landed.

Two whimpers in pain.

One is angry, blood dripping from the light wound on the back of its neck. Seeing Li Xiang, that wolf lunges again.

Without turning his head back, Li Xian thrust the sword backward from his kneeling position.

The sound of something being ripped could be heard.

Li Xian sword stab the opening of the wolf mouth, piercing through the wolf stomach like it is being skewered.

Li Xian breathing is hard right now as the battle is taking its toll on his body. The other two wolf while having heavy injury still pose a threat.

Li Xian need to conserve energy right now but he also need to kill the other two. He then harshly pushed the sword that skewered the wolf but it only moves an inch.

‘Damn’ he muttered while sighing

If I have powerful internal energy, I would have been able to push the sword and the sword would probably pierce the wolf stomach and split the wolf body attacking and then fly out to one of the two wolf.

Knowing he could not do that, he abandoned the sword, using once again his lightness skill, jumping over the two wolf that is trying to get up and attack him once again.

The other dagger skewers the wolf neck and nearly pierce through the skin on the other side. Both of the wolf drop down and die, their blood flows like a river.

Seeing this Li Xian smiles. There are countless of dead things around him but he felt happy right now.

His body is exhausted; his breath is also disordered but he felt a little happy. He just survived a life and death situation. Living is good. Why would he not feel happy?

Then the quest notification sounded again

‘Life is good’ he mutters as he lies down there on the wet ground, his face and body is muddy but his face is full of smiles

Up there, the sky seems to be shining brightly
