Cole's POV
"Good Morning!" Evelyn greets me as she flips some pancakes in the kitchen.
"Morning. But why are you cooking and where is Tabitha?" I ask her.
"Tabitha is late to work, and I was craving for these. So," she says as she places the pancake in the second plate.
She spreads whipped cream on hers and pours maple syrup on mine. We sit at the dining table and dig in.
"Not bad!" I say as I chew the piece of pancake.
She only smiles as she spreads a little more whipped cream on her pancake. Tabitha walks in and apologises for being late. She said Paisley didn't stop throwing up and Tabitha had to be there for her daughter in law.
I look at Evelyn and my heart feels tad bit hurt. Right now, she has no one to take care of her. She looks at me and smiles before digging in agai
