"Beautiful, isn't it?" Oberon pressed his front against my back and whispered in my ear, causing them to turn red. His hoarse voice sent a tingle down my spine. "Yes, it is," I said in a fluster and tried to step away from him. Keyword: Tried to. "Stay like this for a moment," he pleaded. I froze, a numbness spread to my veins, making me unable to step away from him. Amid the numbness, my heart was drumming loudly against my ribcage. I'm afraid my heartbeat can be heard loud and clear in the dead silence near us. What is this feeling? Why do I feel at ease, as if nothing in this world could harm me? That they will protect me from the world. I don't like this feeling. "Let go," I said firmly and pulled myself away from his clutches. "Please refrain from touching me without my permission. I'm Ezra's secretary, not a toy you can play with," I hissed at him. His expression darkened. He took a step closer to me. Then one more step. He forced me to lean against the wall. I had nowhere to escape. He buried his nose in the crook of my neck, making me squeal like a squirrel. "You're no toy, I'm aware of that. But I will make you mine," he practically growled, his chest rumbling against my shoulder. I shuddered. For once, I had no idea what and why I should speak. I was spellbound. "S-sir, please step away," I choked out. He smells like a sea breeze, and the smell is making my knees weak. Why is his smell so strong suddenly? It's making my head spin. Thankfully, he knew not to push me anymore. "Mark my word, dear bunny. I will have you on your knees for me," he promised. I gulped. I didn't have the chance to ridicule him for that promise before his manager interrupted us. Oberon gave me a deep, promising look before he left with his manager. "Let's go back to the hotel too," Ezra suggested. I nodded in agreement and we left for the hotel together. That night I was unable to sleep the whole night. His words kept me awake and had me twist and turn on the bed. My heart was burning for him. Is this what they call desire? Desire to own someone? I threw the ridiculous thought out of my mind but it kept crawling back until I was exhausted and eventually drifted off to sleep. *** *Knock* I jolt awake at the sound of knocking on my hotel room. I could smell Alarik from the other side. I stumbled out of the bed and hurried to the door. "Yes?" I opened the door and asked. His eyes travelled south, stopping at my cleavage. He did not hide his desire at all. His burning gaze made me a little self conscious of my night dress. I was wearing a satin dress that just covers my ass by a centimeter and exposes my breasts more than it covers them. My n*****s are covered at least and that's a relief. "Eyes up here, mister," I snapped at him. He looked up and smirked with no intention of apologizing. He didn't even look like he did something wrong. I rolled my eyes and pulled my dress up my chest. I remembered a little too late that the dress I was wearing gave me just one choice out of two: One. I could cover my boobs. Two. I could cover my p***y. I raised my dress up, that left me unprotected to his leering eyes. I was bare in front of him. Alarik wasn't discreet as he leered at my p***y. I squeaked as I let the dress go. "What are you here for?" I asked in a fluster. "Everyone is waiting for you. It's time to go for Oberon's match," he said. "Give me fifteen minutes," I said, slamming the door in his face as I ran off into the bathroom for a quick shower. I tried to save as much time as possible by deciding against the make up. I shower in less than ten minutes. Slipped on a bra, panty, and a dress in five minutes. Brushed my natural wavy hair, and paired my look with a red lipstick as usual. I slipped on a black pump and I was ready to go in about twenty minutes. Not bad, I thought as I rode the elevator to the ground floor. "You must be Blue," our pack's Beta, Morana commented when she saw me. "Yes," I replied politely, then shifted my gaze to her mate/ our Beta Female, Leah. I gave her a respected bow too. "Alphas are waiting for you in the car," she motioned for me to get in the back of the car, while she and her mate got into the driver and passenger seat. Morana was driving us there. I squeezed myself against the car door to avoid being in physical contact with Ezra, who was sitting beside me. The ride to the Arena was nerve-wracking. And by Arena, I mean a big ass Arena which resembled one from ancient times with modern boxing setting. After the supernatural took over, everything changed to fit them in. Same goes for boxing. As humans are relatively weak and the other supernaturals have different powers, it was decided that each species would fight among themselves. The rules are the same, except for witches who have magical powers and they fight with it. Lycans, Vampires, Werewolves and so on are supposed to be fighting in their human form even if they're fighting among their own kinds. That is the rule. To fight with your own strength, not with your beast's powers. By the time we had arrived at the Arena, the matches among witches, werewolves, and Vampires were already over. The final match for the Lycans was up next. We settled into the VIP areas, a privilege we got from being the family member or friend of the fighter. "We were surprised when we got a notification this morning that a new participant would participate in the Lycan matches. It wasn't something unexpected until we met the participant who steadily won over all the other participants and got to the finale. Let's welcome our newly transformed Alpha, Alpha Oberon of the Storm Forest Pack," with the announcement, my heart skipped a beat. My eyes turned to him as he walked out. He was already looking at me. As my green eyes met his dark ones, he smirked while I paled. How long had they known? Since when have I been fooled? I asked myself a question but I was too afraid to know the answer. "You should concentrate on the match, Blue. After all, it's the match your Mate is participating in," Ezra teasingly whispered into my ears. "Mate." He added after a few beats. And that's how my worst fear came roaring to life. My mind flashed back to the stories I've heard of my father and mother. My mind pictured everything I will have to go through now. My mind all jumbled up until everything faded into a dead silence. *** A/n: My female leads have a knack for fainting, lol. I don't know where else to update guys on what's going on so at last, I decided to put up the announcement in Author's note. I'm sorry for not updating last week. I had burned my hand pretty bad so I'll start updating again after I'm healed.
