Everything hurts. Every single inch of my body feels like it’s on fire and I feel cold at the same time. I can’t move. It feels like every limb weighs a million pounds but yet, my body is shaking. I tried to move my head and open my eyes to look around but I couldn’t. No matter how hard I tried to move, it hurt. A shooting pain was radiating throughout my entire body. I tried to open my mouth to yell for help, but it was so beyond dry, I couldn’t speak.
So I laid there in the cold, dark room. At least, I’m assuming it’s dark. A million thoughts were running through my head. I remembered the scene in front of me when I walked into my house like it was seared in my mind. My chest hurt thinking about them, wondering where they are and they’re okay.
