It was terrifying to see Ashina's wolf holding up my ex's neck, legs flailing helplessly. My ex struggled to breathe as Ashina cut off her air supply. I could see her pleading for help, but all I could do was shrug. I had already mind-linked my beta and told him to come. After a vague reply, he showed up about 5 minutes later with tousled hair, looking like he wasn't working but enjoying himself during work hours. As he walked in, I glared at him.
"Alpha, one of the women Ashina saved is my mate," he admitted sheepishly.
As I smiled through the mind-link, I chuckled, "Congratulations, my friend."
