I noticed that the trackers hadn't been returned. I was certain the vehicle was heading east, given that the women had been kidnapped from the west, and we had already eliminated most of the rogues. I had a hunch there must have been a vehicle nearby. I dispatched a team of investigators to find it and instructed them to search everywhere near the bunker we had escaped from. I reluctantly put my talkative friend in charge of the search team, although I couldn't understand why I trusted her. Despite her incessant chattering, I had confidence in her leadership.
