CHAPTER FIVE

Third-person POV:

“What happened jade?” asked Ashton as soon as he entered jade's cabin but there he found another two people.

“Sit down. He is Mr. Peter Williams, The head chef at our hotel, and She is Miss. Scarlet Sparks, Manager of our hotel, and He is my younger brother Ashton Foster” Introduced jade.

“Nice to meet you Mr. Williams and Miss. Scarlet. What's the problem?” asked Ashton.

“Someone is planning to ruin our hotel reputation among our customers” replied jade.

“Who and What happened at the hotel?” asked Ashton.

“We don't know who is behind it, but they are spoiling the food which is to be served to our customers and it happened the second time today. Our team is trying to find the culprit, but they are unable to find any clue” replied jade.

“We took extra care while preparing the dishes and I personally tasted the dishes before serving it to the customers,” said Mr Williams.

“We were also attentive while serving the customers,” said Miss. Scarlet.

“Jade, What about CCTV recording? Did you find any clue from it?” asked Ashton.

“It got deleted on both incidents” replied jade.

“Then it leads to only one point,” said Ashton while thinking.

“What is it?” asked jade.

“I think the culprit is working in our hotel either he is working in the kitchen or as a waiter” expressed Ashton his doubt.

“Are you sure?” asked jade.

“Yes, keep an eye on recently appointed employees,” said Ashton.

“Then I doubt this must be done by our rivals,” said jade.

“There is a possibility and if it is true we have to find the culprit soon because we have a major event in this month,” said Miss. Scarlet.

“I have a plan to find the culprit” Ashton announced, making the three surprised.

“What is it?” asked all the people at the same time.

Ashton smiled at them and explained his plan to them.

“Is it going to work?” asked jade.

“Obviously it will work and don't worry about it anymore. I will hand over this case to my PI team. They are best at solving these types of cases,” said Ashton, trying to assure his brother.

“Ok, if you say so and I will make arrangements to execute your plan,” said jade.

“Not you jade. Mr Williams is the one who has to take care of me and my plan” said Ashton while explaining his plan to them.

“Ok, I will handle everything” assured Mr Williams.

“Thank you, Mr Williams, and take care of me,” Said Ashton with a smile.

“It's my pleasure, Mr Foster,” said Mr Williams.

Peter and Scarlet left jade's cabin.

“Ashton, are you sure that you can handle it?” asked jade.

“I am sure don't worry about it and you can leave for your business tour” replied jade

“How do you know about my business tour?” asked jade with a surprised look.

“I have my ways and don't worry I am going to catch the culprit before you return from your trip” replied Ashton.

”Thank you, my little brother,” said jade while patting his head.

“Oh, Jade doesn't behave like drake. If you do it again I will never let you meet him. He is rubbing his habits to others” said Ashton while adjusting his hair.

Jade laughed seeing his expressions.

Kiara was waiting for Ashton outside the lotus restaurant. It has been five minutes since she came here but there was no trace of Ashton.

“Where is he? He said eight O'clock and There is no trace of him” said Kiara searching Ashton from the people passing through her.

“Are you cursing me?” asked Ashton standing behind Kiara.

“What!! You startled me” said Kiara keeping a hand on her heart.

“Oh, I am sorry. I thought you were cursing me” said Ashton with a smile.

“No, I was not cursing you but you're late by ten minutes,” said Kiara while showing her watch to him.

“I am sorry,” said Ashton.

“It's okay. Let's go inside the restaurant” Kiara took a step forward to walk but Ashton held her hand.

“What?” asked Kiara with a surprised expression while glancing at their hands.

“I am not habituated to early dinner,” said Ashton while freeing her hand.

“Then we can have a coffee and the purpose of our meeting is for you to know the reason and for me to say the reason, not dinner,” said Kiara while crossing her arms.

“Yes, but I cancelled my dinner with my brother to meet you so it would be best if I have a meal with you because I don't have a habit of having dinner alone,” said Ashton with a smile.

“Ok, What should we do then?” asked Kiara.

“We can sit in that playground and you can explain your reasons then you can leave after dinner. Is it ok for you?” asked Ashton.

“Ok, Let's go,” said Kiara.

They walked into the open playground which was on the other side of the road.

Kiara rushed to the swing and settled on it.

“You can sit on it,” said Kiara pointing to another swing.

Ashton glanced at Kiara and the swing with a surprised look but at last, he sat on the swing beside her.

“So, Ask your questions?” said Kiara.

“Who is Stella? And Why did you ask me to be your fake boyfriend?” asked Ashton.

“Firstly, Stella was my classmate in school. She used to taunt me for my dressing sense saying no boy will be interested in you if you wear these dresses. I used to ignore her in school, but we recently met at a pub and that day also she started with her rant, so I simply lied to her that I have a boyfriend. My friend asked her friend to pretend to be my boyfriend, but he didn't show up at the last moment. So, that's why I asked for your help because I don't want Stella to know about my lie” explained Kiara.

“Oh, What would have you done if I didn't help you?” asked Ashton.

“I don't know. I thought you're not going to help me but to my surprise or luck you did and I escaped from that situation and for that, I am thankful” replied Kiara.

I was also surprised by the way I am acting around you... Thought Ashton.

“Did you say anything?” asked Kiara.

“Did you hear anything?” Ashton asked her.

She nodded negatively and they were silent for some time.

“Why didn't you try to find a real boyfriend?” asked Ashton suddenly.

“I don't want to answer it but since we are practically strangers I will answer you,” said Kiara turning towards him.

“Go ahead,” Ashton said, focusing his attention on her.

“Actually, I don't believe in love and relationships and I believe these love and love stories are only suitable for fairy tales and novels not for real life because reality is way different from fairy tales.

You're the first person apart from Jessie to know this so keep it secret and also we are not going to meet again” said Kiara.

Ashton kept staring at her. She waved her hand in front of his face trying to bring him back to earth, but he was lost somewhere.

“Excuse mister,” said Kiara loudly.

“Why are you shouting?” saying he held his ears.

“You were lost somewhere, so I brought you back to earth,” said Kiara while stepping down the swing.

“Let's have dinner and leave for our respective houses. I can't be late for work tomorrow” said Kiara.

“Why did you say that it is our last time meeting each other?” asked Ashton while they were walking to the restaurant.

“Because we're strangers, and we don't have any reason to see each other again and I believe there will be no chances for us to meet again,” said Kiara.

“What will you do if we meet again?” asked Ashton.

“There is no chance,” replied Kiara confidently.

“But what if we meet” asked Ashton.

“I don't know,” said Kiara.

“Ok, then if we meet again this week then can we be friends?” asked Ashton.

“Ok because it is practically impossible,” said Kiara confidently.

“Hmm let's see,” said Ashton.

Meanwhile, they reached the restaurant and headed to the table which Ashton reserved.

“Will you order or now also I have to order?” asked Ashton.

“No, I can do it by myself. That time I was nervous,” she placed her order.

They had their dinner in silence but Ashton kept stealing glances over her which got unnoticed by Kiara.

“You became a chef because you like eating food right,” Ashton suddenly asked, causing Kiara to look at him with surprise.

“How do you know?” asked Kiara.

“Anybody can say the way you're eating as if you're cherishing every bite but you ate” replied Ashton and continued eating.

Kiara kept staring at him.

“Don't stare at me. I am not going to share my good with you?” said Ashton.

“I don't want your food but I want to know are you in the police or some investigation agency?” asked Kiara.

“No Why did you ask?” replied Ashton.

“Because you are looking like one of them to me. How did you say just by looking at me?” asked Kiara.

“It's not a big deal. You were just obvious. That's it” replied Ashton.

The Rest of the dinner they had in silence.

“I will drive you to your house,” said Ashton as they were on the way to the parking lot.

“There is no need. I brought my car and you forget to return my ID,” said Kiara.

“Here is your id Miss. Kiara Harris. I hope we meet again soon and become friends” said Ashton.

“I don't think it will happen, Ashton and it was a nice meeting you again and once again thank you for your help and Good night,” said Kiara standing beside her car.

“Good night Kiara,” said Ashton.

My name sounded perfect as if it was for her to call and why I am thinking of her so much from the time I meet her. Is it possible that I fell for her at first sight and the way she said that she doesn't believe in love there seems to be a strong reason behind her statements?

Ah, why I am thinking about her this much. I have to find a solution to it. I am waiting for the person who can make my heart skip its beat but I never thought it would happen the first time I met her and also I am feeling more lively around her.

Is it an attraction or love? I have to find the answer and there is only one person who can answer..........thought Ashton.

“What is the urgent issue that you want to discuss at midnight,” asked jade to his younger brother who came to his house at midnight saying he had an urgent issue to discuss.

“I want an answer for my questions and you're the perfect person for it” replied Ashton.

“Ok, Go ahead and ask your questions,” said Jade while yawning.

“Is it possible to fall in love at first sight, that too true love?” asked Ashton.

“What's with your question by any chance you fell in love?” asked jade.

“No I am just asking for general knowledge and please answer my questions and don't question me,” said Ashton.

“Ok, Love doesn't have an accurate time to happen. It may happen at first sight or after a few meetings slowly. So no one can say when a person can fall in love.

 If you have any feelings for someone then spent some time with them and study your feelings. If you ever felt that you can become old with them then it is your true love” said jade.

“How did you find out that you fell for Amelia?” asked jade.

“The answer is with you only. You always say right you're waiting for the girl who can skip your heartbeat, that's what happened to me and,

If you ever meet a girl who can skip your heartbeat then try to know your exact feelings for her and then come to the conclusion. To know exact feelings try to spend time with her. If she is your true love she will make you smile without even talking and if you fell for her hardly she can make you smile in her absence also. So, if you ever come across a girl who fulfill these criteria then give your feelings and that girl a try and There is no need for magic for it to happen. It just happens when you come across the right person at an unexpected time.

Then what if that girl doesn't believe in love?

Ah, why I am thinking much first I have to confirm if she is my true love or not....thought Ashton.
