The plane touched down right on schedule. It took us about forty-five minutes to get fully off of the plane and out of the terminal before we were able to go to the baggage claim. Once we got all of our bags, we headed out to the pick-up zone to the warriors who were assigned to meet us at the airport.
I sighed and shook my lead warrior’s hand. “Hello, John.”
John, who was a wolf in his early thirties, nodded his head. “Hello, Alpha. We are glad to have you home.”
I sigh and nod my head. “It is good to be home.” I turn towards the opened trunk and place my bag in the back end. “Anything fun happen while we were away?”
John sighs and nods his head. “A few things happened. I am sure Gamma Hunter and Gamma Amanda made you aware of them.”
I nod my head and smirk. “They have given me rough details of what all has gone on, but not the full details. I was hoping you would be able to provide some of the gossip that has gone along with it. I want to know what my people are thinking before we make it home.”
I load Tracey’s bag and Austin’s bag into the back of the car as well and close the hatch. I motioned for Tracey and Austin to get in the back seat and allow me to ride shotgun with John.
John climbs into the driver’s seat and starts the car up. He sighs and nods his head. “I figured you would want to know what all has been going on.”
I smirk and nod my head. “You’re right… So, spill.”
He sighs again and shakes his head. “I just don’t know where to begin… The first week, Sasha, Heather, and Bryan all started trying to implement new laws that supposedly had your signature on them. When Hunter and Amanda caught them, they were all punished, but because of Bryan’s father, they all got off scott free.”
I growl low but quickly stop. I nod my head and he continues. “Once they were all back out and free to do as they please, they started to try and enforce those new rules on everyone again. It didn’t work because they didn’t have your signature on anything, but it was still really annoying.”
I cut in this time. “What new rules were they trying to enforce?”
John sighed and shook his head. “Stupid rules that made no sense like everyone had to keep their private homes unlocked and ready for full inspection at all hours of the day. They also tried to enforce a twenty percent tax increase on all of the small businesses in the pack.”
I growled and so did Austin. I cleared my throat and looked back at him. “I will deal with this when we get home. What else happened that I need to be aware of?”
John pursed his lips and nodded his head. “We found a lone wolf roaming around the territory early last week. She seemed like a lone wolf instead of a rogue wolf because of her scent. She hadn’t gotten the garbage smell to her. Her wolf also seemed to be clear minded and willing to communicate with us. I have never seen a wolf as intelligent as this one. She actually knows how to write.”
I c****d my head to the side and looked at him intently. “This wolf can write?”
He nodded his head firmly. “Yes. Because of this, we were able to figure out her name. The name of the wolf is Star.”
I nod my head. “What about the name of the human?”
John sighs and shakes his head. “I’m not sure. Hunter and Amanda wanted to keep her name a secret. We have had to have guards posted outside of the cell she has been sleeping in since she got there. It turns out that as soon as they heard about her, Sasha, Heather, and Bryan all tried to stir up some trouble with her. Needless to say, Hunter and Amanda shut it down from what we could all figure, but this wolf… This wolf is different. I don’t think she is a typical omega.”
I nodded my head and turned towards John. “What rank do you think she is?”
John shrugged his shoulders and shook his head. “I’m not sure. I just know that when Hunter tried to get her to shift back, the wolf ignored the command and the human inside didn’t even try to respond.”
All three of us gasped at once. I turned around and looked at Austin and Tracey in the backseat of the car.
“You don’t think…?” I asked Austin.
Austin shook his head and sighed. “I don’t know. I hope it hasn’t happened.”
John looked at me quickly before turning his head back to the road. “You hope what hasn’t happened?”
I sigh and turn back in my seat to face the road too. “We hope that her human hasn’t died off inside of her. Typically that is what happens when the wolf stays in control for too long. Really, you and your wolf are supposed to share the control equally, but most of the time the human takes up more of the control.”
Austin moved to add his two scents as well. “It is pretty rare to find someone who has equal control with their wolf. It is typically pretty hard to do and can’t be held for a long period of time.”
John nods his head and clears his throat. “How many people can do it?”
I swallowed hard and sighed. “I only know of about three who can do it. They are all alpha males and they are all related. Alpha Walter, Alpha Will, and Alpha Liam.” I sigh and shake my head. “Alright, is there anything else I need to be made aware of before we make it home?”
John shook his head. “No, sir. Those are the only two pressing matters I could think of that needed to be dealt with as soon as you got home. Once those are finished, it will probably be back to normal alpha stuff for you.”
I nod my head and turn back to look at Austin. “Do we want to divide and conquer?”
Austin shrugs his shoulders. “Maybe. How do you want to split it up?”
I sigh. “I’ll deal with Sasha, Heather, and Bryan while you attempt to deal with the lone wolf. If you two can’t seem to get her to shift, then we know what her rank is at the very least.”
Austin nods his head and turns to Tracey. “Are you okay with that?”
Tracey smiles, nods her head and then starts sighing something really fast to Austin. Austin smirks and nods his head. “Yes, we can get something to eat before we go and meet the new wolf. It probably wouldn’t be a bad idea to take a food offering with us as well.”
I chuckle and nod my head. “Alright, then it is settled. When we get home, we will divide and conquer what needs to be done.”
As soon as we pulled into the driveway of the pack house, I climbed out of the car and nodded towards Hunter and Amanda who were already outside waiting for us to arrive.
“Hey guys.”
Amanda rushed towards Tracey and threw her arms around her. “I’ve missed you guys so much! How was the trip?”
Tracey started signing to Amanda all about what happened. I sigh and move towards Hunter and give him a tight hug. “You did great. You kept the pack alive and well and I didn’t arrive home to the pack house on fire.”
Hunter chuckles and smirks as he hugs me back. “It wasn’t easy, but we managed. So, which task do you want to deal with first? I know John told you all about what happened while you were away.”
I sighed and nodded my head. “Austin and Tracey are going to go meet with the lone wolf. While they are doing that, I am going to meet with Sasha, Heather, and Bryan.”
Hunter nods his head firmly and looks at Amanda. “Amanda, why don’t you go with Austin and Tracey? I will help Andrew with the other three. Don’t forget to take Star an extra large plate. She seems to love the new bar-b-que that our chef has come up with.”
I smirk and nod my head. “That sounds like a great plan. If you guys have any issues, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.”
I turn towards Hunter. “Go ahead and call those three to the office. We will discuss their punishment from there.”
Hunter nods his head and mind links all of them. As soon as he is done, we head straight to my office and get settled in just in time for the three of them to knock on the door. Hunter walks over and opens it.
“Come in.”
He closes the door and stands in front of it with his arms crossed. He knows that this meeting is probably not going to go well. I clear my throat and look at each of them in turn.
“Do you all understand why you are in my office right now?”
They all look between themselves before Sasha steps forward. “No, darling. We were hoping you would explain to us why you called us all here. I mean, I understand why you would call me here, but we typically don’t like to have an audience when we fool around.”
I growl and I feel Fenrir try to come forward. “You will never address me in that way again, Sasha. You three are in here because you had the audacity to try and enforce new rules to benefit yourselves while I was gone and pass them off as if I signed off on them. You three have a lot of explaining to do and it better start off with all three of you begging for your lives.”
Bryan growled and stepped forward. “You won’t talk to her that way.”
I stand up and slam my fist on my desk. “You won’t talk to me that way! You three have been insubordinate since Bryan took his power as one of the leaders in this pack. I have had more than enough of your schemes to try and take over my pack and I am beyond tired of dealing with all three of you!”
Sasha smirks and folds her arms over her chest. “You can’t do anything about it. We all have too much dirt on you. We also have wonderful information that you need. Like why the girls you seem to date all seem to leave you and start spreading those awful rumors about you.”
I growl. I can’t take it any more. “That is it!”
I slam my fist on the desk again and stand up. I march around and grab Sasha by the arms. I slap her across the face and send her flying across the room. I turn towards Bryan and slap him even harder. I watch as Heather starts to shrink away and walks right into Hunter’s arms.
“You three are hereby banished from The Snow Moon Pack. You have twelve hours to pack all of your s**t and leave!”
I feel the bonds snap between all three of them and their cries start to echo off the walls of my office.
Sasha drags herself off the floor as tears pour down her face. “NO! I’m supposed to be your Luna!”
I growl and push her away from me. “You are nothing more than an okay f**k that got my d**k wet every once in a while. You are nothing and you will always be nothing. NOW LEAVE!”
The three of them drag their useless asses off my floor and pant out of my office. I look at Hunter who is already mind linking the warriors.
“John and five others are going to make sure they meet your deadline to leave. It is already taken care of.”
I nod my head firmly and sigh. “I guess it is time we move towards the lone wolf.”
Hunter nods and sighs as well. “I hope they have been able to help her out.”
Me too, I think to myself.
