Chapter 5“You did not have to agree to stay at my house,” Pilore said as he and Qildor trudged through the deep snow between the castle and his home. “I agreed because I wanted to.” Qildor almost added, “So there,” but decided it would sound very childish. “I am glad. The bedchamber may not be as spectacular as the ones at the castle, in fact it is homey more than anything else, but I think you will be comfortable.” Qildor smiled. “Given what mine is like, I have no doubt about that.” Pilore eyed him as they approached his front door. “I believe that you like living up there all alone.” “I do, although it is by necessity, all things considered. I worked hard to make it my own and as habitable as possible. It is nothing compared to what little I have seen here, but…” Qildor gave a self
