Chapter 12

I strolled out of the room, humming a tune under my breath while sporting Darius' oversized black-gray t-shirt. As I woke up earlier, I found myself alone, confirming that Darius hadn't returned from wherever he had gone. This indicated that I might have a bit of freedom to explore the island without Darius and Larco keeping a watchful eye on me. I didn't know where they went or when they'd be back, but I secretly hoped they'd be absent for a while, granting me an opportunity to plan my escape from this island. "Good morning!" I greeted Arel upon entering the kitchen. "Good morning to you too. You arrived just in time. Would you like me to prepare milk or coffee for you?" Arel asked with a smile on his face, seeming to be in a good mood, likely due to the bosses being away. "I'll have milk with caramel, please," I replied, settling into an empty chair. After Arel made our drinks, we both started having breakfast. "It's a relief that I can rest a bit today," Arel remarked, stretching after taking a sip of his coffee. "Where did they go?" I inquired curiously. "They usually leave only for business transactions. Maybe the guns have arrived on the other island." Arel explained as he moved to the sink, cup in hand, to wash it. "So, does that mean it's just the two of us on the island now?" In response to my question, Arel briefly glanced my way, his brows furrowing. "Just the two of us? There are still many other staff members outside guarding the island, and besides..." Arel was about to continue when the kitchen door abruptly swung open, revealing Henry, who entered with a rather serious expression, his short hair slightly tousled as if he had just woken up. "Coffee with caramel," Henry requested, sitting in another chair. I noticed the annoyed expression on Arel's face, though he proceeded to prepare Henry's coffee without a word. I remained silent, sipping my milk. After finishing preparing Henry's coffee, Arel left the kitchen without saying anything, seeming a bit frustrated. I wanted to follow him, but I hadn't even finished half of my milk. "What's your size?" Henry suddenly inquired. My attention snapped to Henry. "Huh? W-What?" "What's the size of your..." Henry cleared his throat and he avoided meeting my eyes directly, appearing slightly uncomfortable. "B-Bra and p-panties, what's your size?" I blinked in surprise. What on earth was he asking? "B-But why are you asking about that?" Oh my gosh! Is he a pervert? "Boss Larco told me to buy you some stuff. So don't take my question the wrong way!" Henry grumbled, taking another sip of his coffee even though it was still steaming hot. A sigh of relief escaped me, and I hesitated for a moment before speaking again. "Does this mean... you're leaving the island?" I asked once more. Seeing Henry nod in response, my heart raced feeling a glimmer of hope. "What's your size?" he repeated, rising from his seat and making his way to the sink to set down his cup after a sip of coffee. He's quite resistant to the heat. Meanwhile, I was still only halfway through my glass, as it was still a bit hot. "Medium size... C-Can I come with you to buy them?" I stammered, my voice quivering with nervousness. This was my chance to escape, and I had to seize it! "For what? To try and escape? Well, don't even think about it, that's not going to happen!" Henry retorted gruffly before abruptly leaving the kitchen, leaving me alone. I was left dumbfounded. He seemed to read my intentions quite accurately. Frustration surged within me, and I slammed my hand onto the table. No, I couldn't afford to give up. This is my chance, and I have to make the most of it while the two beasts are still absent! I suddenly stood up as an idea struck me. I hurriedly left the kitchen, intending to catch up with Henry. Yet, as I stepped outside, there was no sign of him anywhere around the mansion. I ventured further, my gaze scanning the surroundings, but Henry was nowhere in sight. Only the staff members were scattered across the island, each of them holding their guns. No! It's impossible for him to have left already. "Oh, who are you looking for?" Arel inquired as he noticed my searching gaze. "I'm trying to find Henry, is he gone?" I asked, slightly breathless from my haste. Arel furrowed his brow. "I haven't seen him leave. He might be in his room. Why are you looking for that rude guy anyway?" A surge of relief washed over me. "By the way, where is his room?" "It's in the middle of the boss's rooms..." I didn't wait for Arel to finish and immediately ran back into the mansion, searching for Henry's room. Without bothering to knock, I swung the door open. However, as I did so, I realized Henry was about to open the door from the inside too, causing me to stumble and almost fall, saved only by Henry's quick reflexes. His strong arms caught me around the waist, pulling me to his chest rather than letting me hit the hard tiles. My eyes widened in surprise, and as I looked up at Henry, it seemed that he was equally taken aback, evident from the slight parting of his lips. "What are you doing here?" Henry inquired, offering his assistance as he helped me regain my balance. In comparison to his two bosses, there was a hint of gentlemanliness about him. "Uh, I'm here because I forgot to mention something," I replied, a nervous chuckle escaping me. "You also need to buy me some napkins and feminine wash." I noticed a slight raise of Henry's eyebrows, and I secretly smiled to myself. "Napkin? You mean for blood?" he asked with a furrowed brow. I nodded. "Yes, and also get me some feminine wash." "What kind of feminine wash?" Henry inquired again, seemingly dismissing my request. Anxiety crept in as I began to worry that my plan might fall through. "Any brand, as long as it's feminine wash." "Okay, so what kind of feminine wash? For body or for what?" I furrowed my brows, not quite understanding what he meant. “I said feminine wash, any brand will do." Henry let out an exasperated huff, his serious gaze fixed on me. "That's why I'm asking you what kind of feminine wash! I'm not asking about the brand! I mean, what kind? For body, hands, or hair?" I parted my lips in surprise. Suppressing a laugh, I composed myself, realizing he might not understand what feminine wash was. "Wait, what's your understanding of feminine wash?" I was trying not to burst into laughter. Henry closed his eyes briefly, then responded with a hint of exasperation, "Feminine is for women, for females! And wash is for cleaning—damn it! Are you messing with me?" A muffled giggle escaped me, quickly silenced by Henry's sharp glare. "There's no feminine wash for hands, hair, or body. Feminine wash is for, you know... private parts," I almost whispered in the end. Henry paused, staring at me for a few seconds before clearing his throat, shifting his gaze away. "Oh, I see. Alright," he replied nonchalantly, turning to leave the room. However, I grabbed his arm before he could go. "Why don't you just take me with you so you won't have trouble buying it? You might get mistaken for a pervert!" The corner of Henry's lips twitched. “I can't bring you with me, the bosses will be mad!" A pout formed on my lips. I thought my plan would work, but little did I know that damn Henry was unfazed by the idea of buying women's stuff. But this can't happen! I needed to escape today, no matter what. This was my final opportunity. I hurriedly left the mansion. Once outside, I spotted Henry boarding the white speedboat. Without hesitation, I raced to the white sandy beach. I swiftly waded into the water, going in until it reached my knees. "Hey! What are you doing?!" Henry shouted angrily at me as I suddenly hopped onto his speedboat, causing it to rock in the water due to my getting on. "I'm coming with you, Henry! Please take me, I promise I won't run away!" I pleaded as I settled onto the boat. Henry let out a sigh, his eyes briefly closing, checking his watch before fixing a serious gaze on me. I lowered my eyes, my lip caught between my teeth in nervous anticipation. The sound of the speedboat's engine starting was a welcome sound, and a relieved smile graced my lips. I thought I had succeeded. However, my shock was profound as Henry suddenly lifted me. "Do you think you can fool me, little girl?" Henry grinned at me, blowing air on my face, causing me to squint my eyes. I could even smell the scent of menthol candy on his breath, which immediately reached my nose. Before I could react, I let out a startled scream as Henry swiftly tossed me into the water. I accidentally swallowed a bit of seawater and struggled to resurface. Meanwhile, the speedboat quickly sped away. I could clearly see Henry's grin directed at me before he finally vanished into the distance.
