"It didn't kill Carrie's Mom." I stated.
"No, but she didn't live for long." He said sadly. "I looked into this, Lacey. There are two other cases of humans being a wolf's mate. One died in childbirth. The other was challenged and killed trying to join the pack. That could happen here. My own father could challenge you." He said. That made me pause. Would he do that to Jon? If Jon mentioned it, he was obviously worried about it
