We stayed outside and chatted while we waited for the other's to arrive. A few minutes after Carrie arrived, Gabriel's Mother and Father showed up. Gabriel's Mom got out of the car and immediately started chatting a mile an hour with Carrie.
"There she is. Ohhh, you look so pretty! Are you excited? Will your parents be here soon? I won't forget. Mums the word on the baby. I told Chuck not to mention it too." She rambled off. Chuck seemed to grunt in response and I had a feeling he wasn't in much danger for being the one to spill the beans. Carrie seemed amused by Gabriel's Mother though and smiled and hugged her. I couldn't help but wonder if Jon's Mom would ever accept me like that. Probably not, considering what Jon had already told me about them.
