He parked in the VIP section of the parking lot and I got off "See you tomorrow, miss Cross." he said in that deep husky voice that could make any girl crawl into his arms and his bed.
I quickly closed the door before my heart would stop beating, and I ran to my car. I felt his eyes on me the whole time.
As I got to my junk of a car and opened the door. I quickly put on my seat belt, my cheeks still felt hot.
And I let out a scream, shaking my hair while doing it, "God, he is so freaking annoying!"
I looked up to see him standing by my slightly open window and my heart this time stopped beating.
As I whined down my window, I chuckled nervously, "You didn't hear that, did you?" I asked him and he just stood there, his lips pressed in a hard line.
He held up a piece of paper "You scratched my car.," he said slowly, as if speaking to a child.
And I blanched, staring at the picture of my car just as it drove past him earlier that morning. No wonder the car looked so familiar. "I'm so sorry. It was an accident. I was in a hurry. I'll pay you for the damages." I pleaded, and he arched a brow.
"How much does it cost?" I asked, bringing out my phone to transfer the money to him.
He looked at me for a moment and I could feel my heart starting a small faint beating again, what does eyes where doing to me? I couldn't explain.
"50,000 dollars."
My phone fell from my hands onto my lap as he said it. My throat felt dry. "I-I-I don't have that kind of money."
I really didn't I just paid the rent for my apartment and I barely had thirty thousand dollars to cope after the divorce.
My salary of half a year would pay the hefty sum, but that would leave me penniless and in the need of another job. Closing my eyes, I took a deep breath. "I will pay for the damages with my salary for the next five months."
It felt like I was drinking poisoning as those words left my lips. He just stood there looking at me. For the first time, I noticed how good he looked in a navy blue suit he had changed into after we got beaten by the rain.
How it perfectly suited the powerful mass of his body clinging to his muscular form. I could tell he was muscular from the way the suit clung to his form in all the right places.
"Are you done analyzing me?" He asked, and I quickly looked away. "Good, make sure you're early to work tomorrow. I like an early breakfast."
He said and left me sitting there breathless. I closed my window and screamed again, "What was wrong with me?"
Arriving at my tiny but comfy apartment, I realized my roommate, Darcy, was already home. I couldn't pay for the apartment alone and Darcy was attending a college nearby. It was only fair to share the rent since we're age mates.
And I was just twenty-one. It was easy for us to communicate. Once I walked into the house and my cute dog pookie ran into my arms I chuckled spin him around giving him lots of kisses.
Darcy came out of the kitchen, frying pan in one hand, spatula in the other, hair up in a messy bun. Glasses on the bridge of her nose and her lips pursed. "Did you get the job?"
I pouted, then my cheeks gave into a wide grin. We squealed and danced around each other. "I'm so happy for you. After one million interviews, girl, you finally have a job. Now let's hope you can keep it for more than a month."
I giggled, and she stared at me, rounding up on me. "There's life in your eyes, not the normal dead brown eyes, but actually lights in your eyes. Who is he?"
I shook my head, masking my face back in its lifeless form. "There's no one."
Darcy's shoulders slumped. "Gosh, I just wanted good news. No need to be so uptight about it. Did you meet the hot CEO?"
The blush on my cheeks threatened to betray me, so I hid behind my hair as I took off my shoes. "Yeah."
"And, is he hotter in real life because he looks so good in magazines?" Darcy squealed, running into the kitchen.
I shrugged off my coat and heels. "His not all that"
I turned to face her, and she dropped her spatula. "Girl shut up, is that Chanel? holy moly mother of God, that is Chanel! Girl, you better spill the beans or I'm gonna whoop your ass."
She pulled me to the love seat and pushed me gently into it. "We need food for this hot gist."
She brought out pan cakes and pineapple juice, giving me my share, and I beamed with smiles. "What would I do without you, Darcy?"
Darcy smiled. "You would have called the fire department cause the only thing you can cook is the whole house."
We laughed, and I gave her the details of my day. Her jaw unhinged at the end of my story. "You went shopping with the CEO?????"
I blinked. "Not exactly. My clothes were wet and not to his taste so....."
"He took you shopping at Chanel!" She held her temples "Girl what In the Cinderella love at first sight, kdrama romance is this!!!!"
She screamed, "OMG my roomie is about to be a rich CEO billionaire wife."
"I shook my head. Don't be delusional, Darcy. He was rude and so cocky and I'm just his P. A s***h housekeeper. It's only normal for him to drive me around in his car." I explained.
And Darcy stared at me like I was insane. "My boss doesn't drive me around, and he drives a bus. Your boss drives the latest Mercedes. He personally took you shopping, then saved you from falling on your ass and getting hit by a car. Held you in his arms all in day one girl. Where in the world is that normal????"
I cleared my throat. "I'm tired Darcy I need to sleep. I have to be at his place by 6a.m tomorrow."
Darcy bit her lips. "Yes baby, tell me when you guys kiss cutie."
I rolled my eyes going to my room. "That's not gonna happen, Darcy. Thanks for the meal."
"You're welcome, cutie." She squealed, still staring at my Chanel shoes.
