Shane
I walked into the house dropping my bag looking around and smiling. "Where is everyone?"
"Dad is at work, mum is doing her shift at the hospital. I have no idea where Tucker is, he's usually him before me."
I nodded. Our parents were always busy working. They hardly had time for me when I was a kid. I'm surprised they had time to have another kid let alone two.
"Sit down and make yourself at home. I'll find us some juice."
"Okay, thanks." I smiled before making my way over to the sorting down taking in my surroundings. It was really homely. I could see myself living here if I hadn't signed up for another five years.
"So how's school?"
"Okay apart from Ashton Barraman. "
"Is he still being an ass toward you? If he is, I can sort him out."
"There's no need to, Shane I can handle him."
"If he gives you any problems just let me know okay?"
"Okay."
I smiled as stf sat next to me. "So how's the Marines?"
"Good, really good."
She smiled. "So are you back for good or... "
She began as the front door slammed violently, shaking the house. A very piased off looking thirteen year old boy stormed in. He was all bloody. "What the hell happened to you Tucker?"
"Ashton is what happened. "
"What did you do this time?"
"Just say we crossed paths and I didn't like what he said about you."
"I can see that you don't need me protect you. "
Tucker looked between me and Courtney, confused. "Who the hell are you? And don't you think you're a little too old for my twelve year old sister?"
We both looked at each other and burst out laughing.
"What's so funny?" He asked, angrily looking at if he wanted to punch the living sights out of me."
"Tucker calm dorm it's Shane."
He looked even more confused. "Shane as in our brother Shane."
He looked at Courtney still confused. "Are you really sure it's him, Courtney isn't he in the Marines or something?"
"He is, and I am we kept in contact. This is Shane Tucker."
"I need to shower, this is too much."
She nodded and he headed out of the room. "Well, that went better than I thought it would."
"He'll be fine once he's gotten over the initial shock."
I nodded.
Our parents returned a few hours later they were in utter shock when they saw me. I guess I've surprised everyone today.
We all sat down to supper talking about my time in the Marines. I told my family that I had leave for six months and I would be going back for a further five years.
They were all disappointed that I couldn't stay longer but were glad that I'd come to visit and were really proud of me.
Tucker had been quiet all through supper I knew something was bothering him I would talk to him later. He excused himself from the dining table saying he had a headache and was going to lay down for a while. I knew that excuse I used it all the time when I wanted to be alone. I'd give him time then I'd go up and talk with him.
Tucker
I couldn't believe my brother was back. He was actually back. I don't even remember what he looked like. I couldn't believe he had left in touch with Courtney and nor me!
The knock alerted me, bringing me out of my thoughts. "Leave me alone!"
"Come on Tucker, budy, it's me Shane. "
"I said leave me alone!"
Can't no one leave me alone! I came up here to be left alone, so why the hell were they so persistent on bugging me!
"Come on Tuck. We haven't spoken in such a long time."
"And whose fault is that?"
The door wedged open. Great just great, another adult that doesn't listen, why?
"I know we should’ve kept in contact, Tucker." He said, closing the door.
I groaned. "So why didn't you?"
"You for either and I tried, several times and you chose not to write back."
"I tried. I just didn't know what to write and every time I called they said you had been deported and you never once called back."
"I'm sorry, Tucker I guess we're both to blame. Just don't take it out on everyone else especially Courtney. I called several times to talk to all of you but you were never home."
"I'm sorry I'm just angry that Courtney got to talk to you and she even knew what you looked like."
"I know." He sighed. "We video chatted a few years ago before you had even moved here. She was excited about the move. I had hoped to see you too, but Courtney said you were out and was in a bad mood about the move because you wouldn't get to see your friends again."
I remembered that. It was the say our parents said that we were moving because dad had been promoted and we needed to move because it was in another company that was joint with the one that he was currently working for and I was pissed that we had to up and leave and I had to leave all my friends behind to start again.
I took my BMX and went to the track tk keg off some steam and I net up with my friends and told them i was going to be moving and I would no longer be at the same school as them.
They were all sad that I was leaving, but I eventually made new friends when we moved here and I soon forgot about them. I wonder how they are doing.
"We can spend all the time you want while I'm here we can catch you on what's been happening in both of our lives. I'm here for six months."
"I'd like that."
He smiled.
"I'll leave you now. I know when I was your age all I wanted to do was either be with my friends or alone in my room."
I laughed, he sounded like an older version of me.
He pulled himself up off the bed. "Later bro."
"Yeah later."
He strode out of the room, closing the door behind him. I couldn't wait to spend time with him. I bet he had got some exciting stories to tell.
Courtney
Issac and I walked to school to meet our friend's. Mom had wanted Shane to drive us but I had declined. I preferred to walk. I believe Tucker has declined the invitation as he had basketball practice this morning with his friends.
We all said our good mornings and hugged. We were all chatting as everyone went silent around us. We looked up and watched as the army green coloured jeep pulled up onto the parking lot. The door opened, everyone watching intensively as the person got out, closing the door. They turned fully dressed in camouflage pants and a dark green tee-shirt revealing their muscular body, fully tattooed.
I hear gasps around the pupils standing around haven't they seen a guy before but this wasn't just any guy it was..
"Wow he's hot."
"Who is he?"
"My brother." I said silently, unable to believe that Shane had just turned up at mine and Tucker’s high school when we had declined a lift off him. What the hell was he doing here?"
"No way. You have to introduce him to me."
"Hey I saw him first."
I rolled my eyes and so did the boys.
"Will you introduce us to him Courtney?"
"Yeah later."
The bell rang and we all walked in. This was going to be a long day. And it was, it all started when Shane had said hi to me as he went to the reception to ask to speak to our principal. We weren't in any trouble were we?
We later found out he was her to talk to the year eleven about being in the Royal Marines.
Suddenly everyone on the grid damn school wanted to know about Shane. By the end of the day I had the biggest headache ever. I went to my room when I got home and lay down on my bed closing my eyes.
