Courtney I’d been ignoring the fact that I was back at school and I’d been ignoring Issac since the day at the basketball court. When I woke up I found myself in hospital. “Hey angel you’re finally awake?” Bryce said, smiling brightly. Urgh turn the lights off. “Bryce.” “Here.” He said, handing me the glass of water. I slowly sat up and took it off him. “Thanks.” I sipped it, passing it back to him and he smiled, placing it back down. “We were all scared angel, don’t ever do that again.” “Where’s Tucker?” “He will be here in a minute. He's getting some drinks.” I nodded. “You scared the hell out of us Angel. Tucker called the ambulance while I sat with you.” “What happened?” “The doctor said you had a massive panic attack.” Tucker said walking in. No that can’t be right, I’ve never had one before. He placed the drinks down pulling me into a hug. “I’m so sorry sis. This is partly my fault what I said was wrong and by the time I realised what I said it was too late to take it back. I hope you can forgive me. I don’t know what I’d do without you.” “You hurt me really bad Tucker.” “I know and I’m sorry.” “I need time Tucker you’ve never said one hateful thing against me. I’ve always looked up to you and you broke that as well your promise to me.” “I know and I’m sorry I’ll do better you’ll see. I’ll prove to you I’ll stick to my promise amd always be there for you.” “I hope so I really do.” We pulled away from each other as our mom burst through the door.’ Oh my baby you're finally awake.’ “Mom.” She pulled me into a hug. “Don’t you ever do that to me again you hear?” “Yes mom.” “The doctor will be around to see you soon Tucker and Bryce can let your friends know your okay money when they return to school. They o]wouldn’t let them visit you.” “So why is Bryce here?” “Long story. I’ll let them fill you in when you come home.” “Okay.” I’d been told that I had a full blown anxiety attack by the doctor and that they had considered different reasons for this; moving to a different place and starting again, fitting in and trying to find new friends to replace old ones, something that had happened recently, something that had been said recently all theses would have triggered it off. The only things I could think that could’ve triggered it of we’re the words that came out of Isaac’s mouth the day we passed them on the basketball court. When Simone had asked him if he liked me, he replied. “Of course I do, she's my friend and always will be. Nothing more nothing less. We’re too young to be thinking about relationships, we're friends, that's all.” That hurt a lot more than what my brother had said; “He’s right, you're a leech and you're holding me back.” I knew who had put those words into his head, Ashton Barraman, but they hurt nevertheless knowing that my brother would say such hurtful and hateful words to me. And I’d trusted Isaac enough to tell him what had happened and it was like the biggest kick in the gut after what Tucker said and having to deal with the likes of Ashton Barraman and his egoistic self thinking he knew better than anyone else. When we returned home I had a word to word explanation from my brother and Bryce after I’d got into the ambulance and how they told the medics that Bryce was my brother. I had to laugh, but in all seriousness they could’ve got everyone involved in a whole load of trouble. My friends are happy to see me with a few missing aka the boys. If I see Issac I may just slap him and tell him exactly what I think of him. Talking of people I’d rather not see or talk to here comes Ashton Barraman with a scowl on his face. Ashton I decided to confront Courtney. I knew that she was finally back in school. Now was my chance. She was all alone. I scowled walking briskly up to her pushing her angrily. “You did this to ruin our day didn’t you. You faked your illness so we couldn’t have fun you’re pathetic, you really are!” I shouted in her face, making her flinch. I was so angry she’d had a week off school now, so I was going to tell her exactly what I thought of her stunt. Her eyes welled up. “Oh please don’t pull the crocodile tears on me.” “They're not.” “You’re pathetic you really are just to get attention of Tucker and Bryce and it worked. But let me tell you something little Miss. Perfect I didn’t believe it for one second it was fake you we’re all fake.” “I’m not and it wasn’t.” She cried “You’re a liar! Faking a panic attack so everyone could run around you, like headless chickens.” The tears were streaming down her face. “Why do you hate me so much?” She asked. “Cause you’re a leech , and a liar.” “No I’m n…” The fist hit my face and I stumped. The next one had me on the floor. Bryce’s face was so angry why the hell was he angry at me he should look a little Miss. Perfect in front of him. “She’s not a liar Ash, we were there both me and Tucker. We both went to the hospital and if I was to say it was anyone’s fault for her panic attack would be you cause you can’t stand the fact she’s well liked by everyone sort from you. You was the beginning by breaking a bond between brother and sister.’” “And I’d do it again.” “When did you turn so hateful Ash?” “I always have been.” “No you haven’t if it weren’t for that little dweeb Issac I would’ve pinned all the blame on you for being such a hateful human being. Come on Courtney.” He said grabbing her hand and storming away. Bryce I was fuming with anger that was radiating off me and through my clenched fists as I saw Ashton confront Courtney I knew he was going to say or do something stupid,so I made my way over to them. And I was right he’d already been warned to stay the he;l away for her and not to upset her cause it could trigger another attack but he didn’t care he thought she was still putting it on though he knew like everyone else that she was in hospital. So I done what I knew best, I floored him. Once he stormed off I pulled Courtney into me. “Are you okay?” I asked. She nodded her head. “Ignore him Court he’s sad and pathetic.” “And he’s your friend.” “So are you. I’d fight you back for him any day.” And I meant it. She smiled sweetly. “Come on Court his loss. I’ll walk you in.” “Thanks Bryce, for everything.” “No need it’s my pleasure angel, we’re friends and I’ll always be there for you and that's a promise.” And I meant it there’s a lot of kids out there like Asher and I was going to protect her from them.
