Selene sat in the room, while the pack maidens helped her dress for her big day. She sat right in front of her dressing mirror, her face beaming with smiles as the head servant plastered her face with adoring make up, adorning her with multiple jewelries that looked so radiant and beautiful. They took their time, making sure she was well dressed and all glammed up.
"Do you like your hair up in a ponytail? Or, you prefer it down in a bun?" Melanie, the head servant asked her with a gentle smile crested on her face.
"No please. I want to look different. I would rather prefer it tied up. I want to be more beautiful than the other days." Selene answered, looking at Melanie, returning the smile. Melanie nodded her head in affirmation and began to tie up her hair as instructed.
In no time, Selene was all prepared and ready for her mating ceremony. The happiest day of her life had finally come. She stood up and adjusted her beautiful red gown that looked like a ball gown while she spinned around in glory.
She had picked red because she was aware of how much Tristan loved red colors. She wanted to really impress him by wearing the color that he loved most.
"My lady," she heard someone call her attention, and she turned around to see who it was that called her. "The Alpha King asked me to give you this tea. He said it is to bless you as his mate." The young servant said.
"Oh," Selene let out an exclamation in response and accepted the cup of what seemed like tea to her. However, she didn't think too much about whether it was truly from Tristan, if it was from someone else, or if it was really needed for her to drink it.
After gulping down every content of the precious tea, she handed the cup back to the servant. And turned back to sit in front of her dressing mirror. Every other servant except the head servant began to walk out of her room immediately.
And in about a few minutes, Selene felt her eyes slowly closing. Even if she tried to stay wide awake, reminding her senses that it was her day to seal the mate bond with the Alpha, her eyes betrayed her and she went into a deep sleep.

"Congratulations son. I am so proud of you that you made a good decision. You should always remember that you are the Alpha. And your job is to think first about the prosperity of your pack, every other thing comes second after the welfare and prosperity of this pack." Zachary said as he patted Tristan lightly on his shoulder.
"Thank you Uncle. I believe it's for the best." Tristan found himself saying that, even if he was already having mixed feelings. He could feel his inner wolf fighting and scolding him, believing he had just made the wrong decision.
"Listen," Zachary moved closer to him, holding his face in his hands. "Don't let the worries swallow you. These emotions are just for the meantime. Remember that as an Alpha, you don't thread on useless emotions just like you are feeling right now, my son." He completed and gave him a light but friendly slap on his cheeks and left.
Even with the encouraging words from his Uncle, Tristan still couldn't get over the worry and pain that he was feeling. Or was it still too early for him to feel calm? He thought.
"Hey there baby. I've been looking all over for you." Alicia said as she quickly walked up to him, still on her ceremonial gown and heavy make-up on her face. The moment Tristan saw her rushing towards him, with Melody who he had always been seeing around her since the beginning of the mating ceremony, he groaned within himself and thought.
Was she coming to give herself to him again, talking non stop?
"Come on baby." She said and dragged him off immediately, without waiting to get a response from him. Tristan didn't think twice about stopping her. He had already had enough. And he believed he wasn't a toy to be played around with.
"Why don't you go meet them yourself?" He said, and walked out immediately, leaving Alicia to stand speechless.

Her head ached so badly that she groaned the moment her eyes went open. It felt as if she had just hit her head so hard against something. Slowly, she raised herself up from the bed, and sat on it. She took her time to scan her environment. Where exactly was she at? She thought.
Then, she realized she was in her room, and still on her ceremonial gown. But why?
"What - why - why am I still in my gown?" She stood up, while asking herself. Her eyes held huge confusion. "Did I fall asleep immediately after the ceremony? Where's Tristan? What am I doing here?" She found herself asking a series of questions with no one to answer them.
Selene suddenly sprang up from the bed, as she had begun to feel so uncomfortable in the situation she found herself in. She quickly opened the door, without changing into anything more fitting. Her intentions were to go find Tristan and get answers to her doubts and confusion.
However, she observed that as she walked through the hallway, every servant and guard stared at her in pity, and some of them felt irritated seeing her.
How dare they stare at their Luna that way? She wondered. She obviously didn't know what had happened already or even had a slight clue to what happened.
Finally, she got to Tristan's room. Without any hesitation, she knocked on the door. The door opened after three knocks.
"Oh, thank God." She let out a deep sigh of relief as Tristan stood out of the opened door. "I don't know what happened, but I just woke up. And I find myself feeling different. Also, I'm still in my ceremonial gown. I'm all confused. Did I fall asleep right after our mating ceremony?" She asked him, with her eyes heavily fixed on him in expectation for a positive answer to clear her doubts and confusion.
"There was no mating ceremony." Tristan coldly responded, still holding onto the door.
For a moment, Selene thought he was joking. She let out a chuckle, and stared back at him immediately.
"Come on Tris. You're joking right? We had our mating ceremony today, a few hours ago. Remember?" Selene went on.
But just before he could respond, the door opened wide, revealing Alicia, who just had her clothes worn around her.
It was then Selene observed that Tristan had no shirts on.
"What -" Selene felt her heart beating faster than she couldn't ever imagine. "What is going on here, Tris? Why is Alicia in your room? What are you two doing together?” She asked, her eyes moving from one person to another.
"Oh well, news flash. I'm his Luna now." Alicia said. Selene could see the happiness written all over on Alicia's face.
At that moment, the memories of what had happened earlier during the mating ceremony preparation began to flash back into her head like a rushing tap.
"That tea." She voiced out immediately. "You had sent someone to give me the tea. I can remember. That was what knocked me out."
"Yes. It was to put you out of the way. And guess what? You slept like a log of wood for two days." Alicia cackled like a witch.
"What? Two days? What did I do to deserve you drugging me to sleep, Alicia?” Selene couldn't believe her ears. She could already feel the tears trickling down her cheeks.
The moment she was done wiping it off, she turned to face Tristan. "Why? Why are you with Alicia in your room half naked? What happened to us?"
"It was all for fun Selene. There's no way you would expect me to mate someone as weak and cheap as you are. You were such an easy catch. I'm an Alpha. " He smirked, burning Selene's heart the more.
"You," she broke down. "You didn't -" she tried, but the words were just too hard.
"Guards!" Tristan yelled immediately. "Take her to the servant's quarters. Inform them that she is now their new intake. Give her the biggest rooms to scrub." He said, and walked back in, shutting the door.
"No. Tris." She tried to stop him, but the guards held her down, dragging her away. "Tristan!"
