Her Arrival

When Summer came through, she heard a soft voice of a lady telling her to wake up. Lazily opening her eyes, she jolted up when she saw that she was sleeping on an all white bedding on a huge bed. Besides her was an extremely beautiful young lady with raven black hair that fell to her shoulders and almost amber eyes. 'How did I get here? Was everything that I saw just a dream or reality?' she wondered. Her memory was still fresh and that confused her the more. She lifted her hands to check whether she had been hurt or not but she was surprised to see no scratch. 'Was I really dreaming?' she furrowed her brows. "Where am I and who are you?" she rasped, surprised by her own voice. It was as if she had been asleep for many hours and her throat was dry. This convinced her that she may have had a terrible nightmare about the creatures she thought she saw. She instinctively cleared her throat. The girl gave her a glass of water from a fancy flask on the pedestal by her bed. Summer drank it all and thanked the girl. "Thank goddess you are finally awake Princess Summer! You are in your room in the palace of the Kingdom Yonder. I am Matty, your personal maid. I work alongside maid Theodora who has gone to call the doctor for you," Matty said. Confused Summer asked, "Doctor? Am I sick? What's going on?" she asked, even more puzzled! She looked at her clothes and saw that she was no longer wearing her white Nun uniform instead she was wearing a silky white nightie. 'Did those creatures hurt me or was I really imagining everything? But she said I'm in the kingdom Yonder. So truly there is a kingdom Yonder?' her thoughts wandered. Matty smiled and said,"No Princess, there was a small accident at the intersection, just before branching to come to the Kingdom. You fell into a coma as a result and haven't woken up for the past eight days," Matty answered. "What? Eight what? Coma? How?" Summer jumped, exclaiming loudly. With a smile on her face Matty said, "careful Princess, don't move or else you will hurt yourself again or aggravate your wound!" 'Wound? What wound? Hurt myself again? Is this girl normal? Am I still hallucinating or what? And what in the name of God is happening here?' Summer furrowed her eyebrows. "Matty, right?" she asked to be sure before saying anything further. "At your service princess!" Matty responded, nodding. "Are you okay? Why do you sound like someone who had a concussion? Where do I have a wound? For Pete' s sake, can you speak English and explain what's going on here? And why do you keep calling me Princess? I am Summer!" she whisper-shouted, getting exasperated from all the confusion she was getting. "But Princess…" Matty was about to say something when the door burst open. Summer looked to see an exceptionally handsome man with dirty blonde hair and emerald green eyes, wearing a white coat enter the room with another beautiful girl with blue eyes and raven black hair in his entourage. "Princess, it's good to see that you are awake!" The man called out. Summer figured that maybe because these people didn't know her name they chose to call her Princess. She sighed. "Thank you doctor, but my name is Summer, not Princess!" she responded. The handsome man smiled. "Okay Ms Summer. Allow me to check your wound and dress it," the doctor said. Confused, Summer decided to let them do what they wanted to do. Matty lifted Summer's dress to reveal an area with a bandage on her torso. 'How come I didn't feel any pain from that area?' Summer wondered. A look of surprise as well as exclamations from the girls made Summer look up at them. "Is there a problem doc?" she asked. The doctor seemed to come back to his senses and said, "nice! The wound has perfectly healed," he said and straightened up quickly. "Excuse me Prin… I mean Ms Summer, I'll be right back!" The doctor hastened out without waiting for her so respond. "Wait doctor…" Summer had so many questions she wanted to ask him but it seemed he was running away from her. She looked at the two girls who didn't look anywhere far from her age and almost looked identical, save for the eye color. "What's his name?" she asked no one in particular. "Forgive me for not introducing us Princess. He is doctor Josiah. I am Theodora, your other maid. We are twins and 17," the girl who came with the doctor answered, smiling in the process. Though she was overwhelmed by the name Princess, she sighed. She smiled back, nodding."I don't know why you insist on calling me Princess but I'm glad to meet you both. You seem like nice people. I'm Summer and I am just a year your senior," she said. They both bowed. "We are happy to be at your service. We call you princess because…" her words were interrupted by another bursting of the door. 'Do they ever knock or at least open the door softly?' she wondered, lifting her head she was mesmerized by the kind of beauty she saw in front of her. The man who entered was like a curved sculpture. Something out of this world. He was like one of those angelic beings she saw in one of her catechist class books. Totally out of the ordinary! Their eyes locked and none of them wanted to avert their eyes. Time and space ceased to move and exist as the two got consumed into each other's eyes. 'Is he an angel or a god because this man right here isn't human. How can one person have all this beauty?' Summer's inner voice said to her. She had never heard her own conscience in this manner before. Truly the man in front of her had just woken her inner being and it was yearning for this god of a man. King Lucian Moonchild stood there mesmerized by the beautiful woman before him. She perceived his powerful aura, yet she never cowered at his intimidating demeanor. A look of surprise flashed in his eyes but he understood that she was definitely different from the rest of them. His wolf, Liam was restless, not yet sure but feeling drawn to this beautiful creature in front of them. Lucian had just returned from Europe a day before, only to find that his "sacrifice" from the convent was attacked on the way home. He didn't want to come see her because he heard that her wounds were not healing. ' She is just another mismatch!' he had thought to himself. Just now, the doctor had surprised him by telling him that not only did her deep wound heal but it was completely sealed, leaving no scar at all. 'Could she be the one?' He finally managed to peel off his gaze from hers and looked out of the big window so that she didn't see his eyes glazing over as he mindlinked Doctor Josiah, who was not only a physician but also a shaman of the pack! 'She may be the one, your Highness! But we can't be sure unless you do the needful!'
