I already knew who had attacked me. There was no need to investigate but I was going to torture them until they confessed. I could not believe that they actually wanted to kill me.
One thing that I wanted to know was whether Macian was in on the plan too. Lucian had informed the Beta and Gamma to stop the picture broadcasts and leave the matter.
“Are you sure about this love?” he asked me, holding my hand and gazing into my eyes. Doctor Josiah had left the room. In fact, he had discharged me saying there was no reason for me to be in the hospital, but I insisted that I remain there for the night and for a day tomorrow.
