Sapphire's reaction to the news didn't surprise me in the slightest. She was angry but more embarrassed than anything and looking to save face. She was more annoyed that she had been dating my assistant than she was about anything else, and that she had missed out on her chance to marry the infamous Chase Callahan. As I sat in the waiting area of the boutique, watching with narrowed eyes as my new wife took directions from the helpful saleswoman, I heard the sound of my cellphone ringing and after a quick glance at the screen, quickly excused myself outside, answering with a sigh.
