Chase POV I ventured downstairs and waited in the foyer of the hotel, my heart racing and my hands feeling clammy. I was nervous. I didn't know what I was going to do, or what I was going to say. All I knew was that I needed to lay eyes on her again, to see for myself that she was okay and that she wasn't affected by last night's incident. She walked in, looking like a breath of fresh air, her long hair flowing loosely down her shoulders, just the way I liked it, her hazel eyes scanning the room, until they paused and rested on me, a small smile curving on her pale pink lips. I inhaled sharply, smelling the faint aroma of her rose-smelling perfume as she neared me, claiming stiffly to my feet as she approached and reaching out to grab her hand, pressing the palm of it against my lips. "
