Chapter 20

Jannelliza's pov:

Nasa harapan ko ngayon si Marcial at Kris Ann nang biglang pumasok si Joan na may kasamang babae, that woman is screaming in authority and by her stand I can easily tell that she's a Russian. I smirked because a woman like her can never intimidate me, tumingin naman ako kay Joan at Kris Ann bago tumango.

She position herself to salute at me me before handing over a red card. "Good Afternoon General Jannelliza of the Philippines."

"What's your name?" I asked.

"I am one of the soldier of the Russian empire and I'm here to give you the invitation to the yearly rebels fight where we take one rebel and pirate of each countries or group and make them fight till death, it's also our code to not give them our name. " the woman said.

"This sounds fun," Kris Ann said.

"It's also means that we're forging a stronger alliance that can make our country stronger," the woman added.

"I'll definitely come, thank you." I stood up and offer my hand.

She accepted it and shook it, after she left Marcial and Kris Ann took the invitation and read it.

"Sino kaya ang makukuha nila dito sa mga rebelde?" tanong ni Kris Ann.

"The Russians will probably aim at the gold," I said while smirking and getting a glass of rum.

"What do you mean General. Jannelliza?" Marcial asked.

"The Russians knows that I had a face off between the leader of the Rebellions, this will make them curious and give them an idea to capture the leader and pick that guy to be the one fighting. I'll come to Russia and see what will happen," I said with a wicked smile on my lips.

"The Russia is the 5th most powerful country on this world so there is a possibility that they also know where they could capture the leader of the Rebellion," Joan said like she just had an idea about it.

Tumayo naman ako at pinuntahan si Morrigan, kada army ng isang bansa ay kailangan pumunta ng general at 3 n'ya pang sundalo kaya iniisip ko ngayon kung sino-sino ang isasama ko. I stood up and saw Morrigan staring at his monitor, I slowly walk towards him because I wanna scare him.

"Alam kong nandyan ka Jannelliza," saad ni Morrigan.

Ngumiti naman ako matapos itong humarap sa'kin, lumapit naman ako rito at umupo sa isang upuan.

"What are you doing?" I asked.

"Just creating a new idea for an empire weapon, Dr. Ylreveb asked me to create one empire accessories which is strong and a good start for making new weapon," he explained.

"Any ideas yet?" I asked.

May pinindot naman ito sa keyboard n'ya at tatlong holographic screen ang lumabas, each screen has a 3 different weapon which is hard for someone like me to explain.

"English please," I said while rolling my eyes on him.

He laughed a bit before he tap the first screen.

"This is what I called ribbon of fenrir, it's a necklace that can expand for over 10 kilometers and every chain of it is light weight that has a mass of a ribbon," Morrigan explained.

"Fenrir, also called Fenrisúlfr, monstrous wolf of Norse mythology. If I'm right?" I asked to Morrigan.

"Tama ka," sagot ni Morrigan.

He hide the first screen and move to the second one.

"This is what I called flute of Empire, this flute can hypnotize anymore who can hear its melody which made if dangerous. But my only problem is how can I make this immune to its own user," Morrigan said with a frustrated tone.

"And the last?" I asked.

"The last one is rose garden, it's a necklace that has a design of a rose in the very middle. The rose garden is a weapon that can suddenly create or make plants and used those plants as a weapon for both defense and offense," Morrigan said proudly.

"Maybe make the design a little bit more neutral to a man or a woman could use it," I explained to him.

Tumingin nga ito sa screen at unti-unting gumala ang kamay para baguhin ang disenyo, the rose became black and red and the collar of it became more neutral unlike the first one.

"That's perfect," I said to Morrigan with a smile on my face.

"So the rose garden captures your attention?" Morrigan asked.

"Yes, the rose garden is something new to my ears which made it fascinating for me to see it in reality," I honestly said.

Ngumiti naman si Morrigan bago tumingin sa screen.

"I finally have my first project to propose to Dra. Ylreveb," Morrigan said with a smile.

I suddenly looked at Morrigan intensely and think of him as a successful scientist inside the empire, I don't know why but I wanna see myself standing besides him as he reach his dream.

"Why are you staring at me?" Morrigan asked curiously.

"I'll just remembered that I'm going to tell you that I'll be going to Russia by next week," I said while trying not to blush because of an embarrassment.

"So you won't be able to watch my presentation about this new empire accessories?" he asked.

"Sadly yes, don't worry Morrigan," I smiled before holding his hand. "After this I'll take you to one of my favorite place."

Ngimisi naman bigla si Morrigan kaya parang tumambol ang puso ko.

"Then it's a date," he said with a smirk plastered on his lips.

Mabilis akong namula kaya medyo natawa ito, how can this man makes me blush?

"Stop staring at me," I said embarrassingly.

"It's my first time seeing you blush like that Jannelliza," Morrigan said.

Tumayo naman ako at tinalikuran ito, bigla naman akong napa-tigil naman ako nang tumikhim ito.

"Next time Jannelliza," he paused before standing. "I wanna be the one to ask you out next time."

And after he said those line, all the butterflies in my stomach became wild. I run out of Dra. Ylreveb back to my office, I quickly saw all of them inside my office which made me panic.

"Everyone get out!" I firmly ordered.

Mabilis naman tumakbo palabas sila Kris Ann at nang masigurado kong wala na talaga sila ay mabilis kong hinawakan ang namumula kong mga pisngi dahil sa kilig na sinasabi nila, damn you Morrigan for making me blush.

Morrigan's pov:

Masaya ako ngayon pabalik sa opisina nang biglang may humarang sa'kin na delivery man at inabot sa'kin ang isang sobre, pumasok naman ako sa opisina ng Dra. Ylreveb at binuksan ito.

"If you don't wanna die, get away from Jannelliza." Basa ko sa sulat.

Nagulat naman ako dahil dito pero hindi ko na lamang pinansin dahil alam kong 'di ako matatakot basta-basta, pumasok naman na rin ngayon si Dra. Ylreveb at inabot sa'kin ang isang kape.

"Inumin mo na 'yan at may sasabihin akong mahalaga," wika ni Dra Ylreveb.

Matapos ko itong inumin ay inabot nito sa'kin ang isang papel.

"That's your budget for your empire weapon, you could start it up as soon as possible Morrigan," Dra. Ylreveb explained.

"Parang ang laki po nito Ma'am," saad ko.

Bigla naman natawa si Dra. Ylreveb sa sinabi ko, ngumiti naman ako habang kinakamot ang batok ko.

"Every empire weapon cost from 700 thousand peso to 5 million peso," Dra. Ylreveb said. "It's a challenge task for you since your budget is only 500 thousand peso," she added.

"I won't fail you down Ma'am," I said while smiling.

Mabilis ang kilos ko at binuksan ang monitor ko para humanap ng ilang basic plants at at mahal na halaman para sa Empire weapon na gagawin ko, this can help me prove myself that I can be a great scientist too like Dra. Ylereb and at the same time make jannelliza proud of me once my experiment will be successful.
